This was my first tour and one vivid thing I remember was the way my blood ran cold when Yoongi biffed sliding down the bench. He caught himself in a run thankfully and didn't get hurt but I saw it coming in slowmo and was like "oh shit. That's not supposed to happen" 😅 it is funny now but I imagine it stressed him and everyone who noticed it, out. As for male fans, BTS have very many but the problem is that female army are cutthroat. XD So you'll see a lot of men before the concert starts and they make up the back areas and female armies try to get the very front. And lastly for my lengthy comment lol; Wes may actually not be overthinking the stressed element or JK coming off as frustrated. This was afterall, the tour that nearly broke them. They had so much pressure on them because it's peak period after globalization and they had more songs and all that, and then it gets worse deeper into the tour by basically no breaks, the tour being extended so it essentially lasted like I believe a year and a half? It gets pretty rough for them but at this point I'm sure it was the stress levels exacerbated by the dent in their prep times.

I'm so glad you came back to the docu series! Maybe do a winter or summer package in between before the Silence series? When you need to get out of the intenseness for bit?

I work with meteorologists....a tyhoon is similar to a hurricane. Hurricanes are in the Atlantic and Typhoons in the Pacific. They form the same way

They practice and do dress rehearsals before concert days. They would have practiced the concert for at least 3 months before the first concert day. They're prepared but there is always something that could be done better and usually you don't know till dress rehearsals or during the concerts.

Love Yourself is their 4th tour. The first was "Red Bullet" in 2014, "HYYH: Most Beautiful Moment in Life" in 2016, "Wings" in 2016-17 (from Burn the Stage documentary), then "Love Yourself" in 2018 (this Bring the Soul Docuseries).

I think JK was frustrated because of a small mistake during his euphoria solo performance? I’m pretty sure I remember a longer clip of him talking about it backstage and jimin comforting him. Still crazy that this tour began summer 2018 and finished one and a half years later in late 2019!! It must have been exhausting. (The pretty song you didn’t recognize is called “Answer: Love Myself”! It’s one of my favourites ever by them.)

To kinda answer your question about JK seeming a little on edge during the interview portions: firstly, the interview portions of the documentaries usually happen a little further into the tour so they have insight to talk abt. I don’t know if they were filmed after this happened but basically something stressful happens to him later on in the series that makes him feel bad. That might make it clear why he was really anxious to do well going forward. I’m trying to be vague to not spoil it for you. He was also notoriously hard on himself during this time. The comment he made to jimin was about him making a mistake on stage that made him lose focus. Mistakes really hit him during this time. He is thankfully a lot more relaxed now and doesn’t harp on himself anymore when he (very rarely) makes a mistake. He made a noticeable choreo mistake at one of the ptd shows that he busted out laughing at on stage. we were so relieved to see that bc before he might’ve cried abt it behind the scenes. He had so much self development! About the fandom demographic: while our fandom is indeed a female dominated space, I try not to assume ppl’s gender identities from how they look bc alot of ppl in the bts fandom are LGBTQ+ as well. bts have made this fandom a safe space for everyone with their continued open support of queer people and queer media since before debut. So while you may see everyone as “female” armys there are quite alot of gender nonconforming armys as well and the lgbtq army space is huge. But also there were alot of male armys back then too that maybe didn’t feel comfortable to go to the concerts. Even yes even more men love bts now tho and aren’t afraid to go to their shows!

Why do them wearing colored contacts freak you out so much Steph ? That’s really weird. 80-90% of the time idols wear them lol. I think they look cool. One time Jimin had blonde hair and grey colored contacts and looked like an Angel 🥺

I think she means it in a good way. Like the colored contacts can easily change how they look and can make them look more fierce. I totally get it when they talk about Tae wearing contacts bc he looks crazyyyy in them (in a good way ofc)

Hi, since you are watching the series, I suggest watching or listening to Magic Shop and Answer: Love Myself. LYS albums have a lot of great songs but I guess these two songs are the songs every ARMY should know 💜

sometimes the contacts look mad intense, like lizard eyes, cause some of the colors aren’t that natural looking. I personally think they look cool , they probably catch her off guard after watching more of other bts content where they don’t wear contacts lol

Or even better, doing a lyric listen of the whole ANSWER album- it gives good context to the message and mindset during this era. This docuseries' underlying theme is how they each are finding their personal answer to "LOVE YOURSELF" which is the album and tour theme. Each member's solo song falls into a story timeline, from finding love from external to internal. It really was an amazing project album that compiled the first two (LY:HER and LY:TEAR) into a full storybook.

It would be great if you do like in the last series and watch 2 episodes in a day whenever you can. Just so you will be able to watch it whole in a month or so and not lost any details of the plot in the meantime. Thanks for the reaction as always!!
