was waiting the whole day for this reaction haha im excited to watch it

Aaron Pendergrass

does anybody know if they are reacting to the konosuba movie?

Infinite Ree

I'm only a few minutes in but just to clarify Juri and Gang-Tae met at a hospital, they just happen to be from the same hometown.

jozz muñoz

Guyyyys your’s reaction make so happy!! 💜🏃‍♀️

ola

u can't be bored watching this kdrama! i love it

Honey

Stop trying to fit the story into a genre🤣🤣. Kdramas can blend multiple genres at times

Giyanka

I think by the half of the episode you guys started to get used to the way the story is told in this drama. Some scenes feel like magic because of the children's book theme. Also you're getting better at reading characters' intentions and possible trauma now. It will just get more interesting from now on, but now we wait for another week.

Honey

Exactly!!! Koo mun yeong does feel like a kid to me too

Mihir Joshi

Guys all your questions will be answered in the upcoming episodes, like what is up with her mother ? How did Gangtae and Sangtae's Mom die? Why don't they remember each other from childhood? Whether the main actress is actually a villain? Just be patient and don't try to fit this into any genre. Kdramas are always a blend of multiple genres. This is one of the most acclaimed kdrama of all time and a big fan-favorite among kdrama watchers, so just be patient.

Honey

I agree with the theory that she was trying to reach out with the whole butterfly situation albeit in a messed up way

Shanthi M

you guys are almost correct with the story. this is a kind of healing genre(not sure whether healing could be a genre), the healing journey of three.

Chels

Wesley is so perceptive. Steph, you better step up your game 😂 Also officially, Mun-Yeong has PTSD and a functional form of Anti social personality disorder so that's why she's a little chaotic. Sang-tae is autistic.

Honey

The magical vibes you are getting is because of the fairy tales and stories being told😄

Honey

Also, I sort of like that you went in blind, seeing you come up with various theories and perspectives even if they are way off has been fun

AnnaAfc

Hey Wes, I don't know if you realised it but when you explained how would you talk to Sang Tae you were showing how good as a person you are and genuine. As a neurodivergent person myself I got teary eyed. You made me realise that there's still good people out there. Thanks to you both.

Ahjusshi_Brown

Okay now that they officially brought it up in this episode, you guys might want to google antisocial personality disorder. Just to fundamentally understand Moon Yeong’s character more. This show’s creator(s) incorporating a main character with ASPD was actually the main reason I was so excited to watch it when it first came out.

Brooklyn

How does having questions and making theories make them impatient? Isn’t that the point of tv shows? Lol

Lela

I haven't watched the whole show but just like Steph and Wes I didn't take the sleazy guy's comment as an actual diagnosis. So is this really established in the show or just outside speculation?

Kenny

Yes she actually has ASPD, that’s why he’s being paid off to keep quiet. There would be a lot more prejudice from the public regarding Mun-yeong, her actions, and her “disturbing” stories written for children if it did. She wouldn’t be as popular and wouldn’t be able to come back easily from her scandals or rumors regardless of Sang-in paying people off. You can tell from how people react to Sang-tae and villainize him instead of being understanding of his autism.

Honey

I like the fact that they didn't try to paint her as something else. Like even though she has her reasons, her actions are sometimes still unlikeable and that's okay.

Ahjusshi_Brown

Yes, they actually promoted that aspect of her in the promo material (my psych-brain was so excited when the teasers started coming out). The promo played into the unlikelihood that someone technically incapable of empathizing being able to find love. I highly recommend a quick google search into ASPD to better understand her character and thought process (and the limitations of her thought processes).

Exit

Yeah, I was excited for that as well 😔

drew

Guys don't fit this drama into a genre - do it like the way you did with BTS :)

drew

Guys i really thought you would have caught up that sang tae is neurodivergent (autism spectrum) first episode in..i have a brother who has autism and this show is one of my favorites in terms of how they portray the role. Its on point in so many ways

drew

Also i hope you would change your perception about psychosomatic *mental* illness by the end of this series. I get put off when you say things like she's "crazy" - she is not crazy. She has a psychosocial illness.

Mimosa Khaund

the highlight for me was when Steph called Mun yeong evil snowwhite 🤣🤣🤣🤣 love your reactions 😍😍😍😍

Madhushi

it's normal to have questions.. it has nothing to do with being impatient. Plus they are doing a reaction video, I want them to think those things out loud and tell us the theories they come up with. Otherwise, what's the point of doing a reaction video?

Lela

thanks to everyone for their answers :)

tabii ⁷

I don’t think it’s their perception of about mental illness but it’s that they don’t know that she has any problem. Like how would they know that she has aspd unless it stated and they jus started watching it so obviously they’re confused. I hope ppl would more understanding of them and help them learn.

D4edweellow

FOR WES AND STEPH PLEASE READ. IMPORTANT. I don't have any personal experience with the severe illnesses that are depicted in the series, but I am aware of how offensive it can be when people use terms like "she's crazy" to describe a character/ person who has a mental illness. I do believe it was a bad idea to watch a show with such a strong premise like this without first reading at least the Netflix summary of what it's about. Let me be clear: I enjoy how you guys are responding to the show, that it’s intriguing and you’re enjoying yourselves but I think you need to exercise caution in how you react and remember that this is a show about the extraordinary and people who have STRONG mental disorders. don’t take things too lightly and at the same time don’t take things too deeply and end up misinterpreting the purpose. the show’s name "it's okay to not be okay" and the main focus is not about romance it’s about relationship building and “trauma relief therapy” oh so you may say. PLEASE PLEASE I beg you to be cautious, nonetheless I really enjoy the fact that yall are starting characters tho this was a strong and hard one to start with cause you guys are new but good luck😭

Honey

I understand your comment and while that is valid, I think people should still be able to call her actions crazy. I love her and acknowledge she has a mental illness but that doesn't negate the fact that her actions can at times be crazy especially since she is well aware of what she's doing most of the time and still goes through with it. This is different from a case where the character (for instance, Sangtae) isn't aware of the consequences of their actions.

Sheetal Chand

the nice girl you both like, i do not like 😅 idk she just gives me the ick like trying too hard to be a good person just to show/prove to others and too self-centred not in a good growth way.
