God this ending really didn't age well.

The song at the beginning of the movie is "The Kids Aren't Alright" by The Offspring in '98. To stab a person though the hand with a pencil is possible, but it would take a lot of luck and strength because bone would easily stop the pencil and it's very likely it would break after piercing the skin the first time. Yeah, this movie's version of high school is very unrealistic. Mine had a gang war between Asians and blacks where machetes were used and daily life still wasn't as ridiculous as they portrayed it here. Famke Janssen did play Jean Grey in the first X-Men movies. Actually, Lord of the Rings was a joint American-New Zealand production, so there were a lot of non-British actors used besides Elijah Wood. I think the term you're looking for is "liberal arts" when describing non-math or science studies. In the United States, education is mandatory until you turn eighteen, but you can't just volunteer to stay in high school or attend it again. You really can't do shit here until you turn eighteen really unlike a lot of countries where you can become an independent adult at sixteen. A lot of deep-sea creatures are translucent because of the lack of light. Water is actually more prevalent in space than you think; even the Moon has water, although it's not much. The drug is actually a diuretic which causes you to lose salt and water through urine. They really didn't explain it well in the movie so I'm not sure how much of an effect salt would have.
