Dopplers don't just take on a person's physical appearance, they take on the mannerisms and memories as well. I agree with you that Yennefer had a choice in losing her reproductive organs. Granted, she didn't know what the exact cost would be when she asked the enchanter for beauty, but I doubt that, if she had known the cost at the time, it would've stopped her. It's no surprise that Jaskier talks so much. He wouldn't be much of a bard if he didn't enjoy the sound of his own voice. If I remember the short stories correctly, about a year has passed since the djinni episode, so it's plausible that Geralt and Yennefer have met up a couple times since then. I wouldn't say the show is skipping anything. Some adventures just aren't worth showing on television.
