French GTS : Sophie (Penny) (Patreon)

Inspector Gadget isn't entirely French, it's a Franco-Japanese collaboration, but we felt it belonged here.

It's an anime that was part of my childhood and I would have loved an episode like this x)

Dr. Gang has built an enlarging laser with the help of his colleague, Dr. Growth.

Mounted on a satellite, this laser is capable of hitting any target from space and making it 10x larger than it was originally.

Dr. Gang intends to use the laser to create giant animals that will wreak havoc for him.

First, however, he wanted to try out his new weapon on smaller animals, to test its effectiveness and accuracy.

He targeted a stray cat and loaded the first shot, but suddenly an obstacle stood between the target and the laser about to fire.

This was Penny, who wanted to pet the little stray cat more closely; and without Dr. Gang having time to change his target, the laser fired and hit the young girl head-on.

However, Dr. Gang noticed that nothing happened, and Penny simply wondered what had happened to her.

As the Machiavellian Dr. Gang cursed his laser, which he believed to be dysfunctional, Penny returned home, unaware of what she had received.

Once home, Penny settled down on the living-room sofa, with her computer on her lap.

Without warning, Penny suddenly began to grow.

Panicked, she couldn't understand what was going on, and quickly outgrew the living room and then the house.

Just as Inspector Gadget was about to enter the house, a giant hand knocked him off the steps.

And it was with a fright that Gadget saw a giant arm and leg emerge from his house.

Much to the dismay of his poor niece, whom the inspector didn't seem to recognize...
