Somewhere in Vermont lies a small town called Biggersville.

Legend says that the town was founded by Paul Bunyan himself, in one of his boot prints.

The town's claim to fame is reflected in the name of its only high school, Bunyan High School.

It's here that Paula Rager, a 16-year-old with a few problems, is studying.

Although she had boundless energy, she was also very touchy and often suffered mockery from her classmates, who pointed the finger at her short stature of 1.45m.

Far from being a fragile princess, Paula knew how to use her fists to defend herself, and this often earned her detention for violent behavior.

Nicknamed "the little brute" by the idiots at her school, her frustration only increased when she learned that the boy she was in love with was in love with the only friend she had at school.

One day, when she had been in detention once again and had to shelve the books in the library, she came across a strange book.

The title was "The Book of Giants" and there was no author's name associated with it.

Inside, she discovered the names of many of the giants who have left their mark on the legends of the world.

She thought, ironically, that "they" couldn't complain about their size.

Until she came across a blank page that captured her image and name right before her eyes.

Frightened, she let go of the book, from which a strange magical energy was released, suddenly making her taller and taller.

In a matter of moments, the teenager grew gigantic and ran out of space in the library, which became too small to contain her.

When the walls and ceiling gave way under the force of her growing body, and Paula was finally able to stand up, the teenager was 14.5m tall!
