Howdy, friends! Hope everyone's well this week!

Well, the newest chapter of Friends Indeed is officially live, and currently available to $5+ patrons as of today. Reception has been a bit mixed, as I expected. It's a little lighter on the sexy content, and a little heavier on story. But, I'm still happy with it, and most people have been super kind in their response to it.

All that said, I'm still working on the newest chapter, and trying to flesh out the ending a bit. Just today I uploaded a patch for the new update, which adds 39 new images, and a few new scenes. But, I still want to add one more scene for the public release of Chapter 8, before I officially call it done.

Above you can see some of the art I did for the new patch, upgrading 0.55 to 0.56 -- there's a couple of little scenes with Risa, as well as some improvements to art I'd already done for the chapter. Some of it was to fix clipping, but some of it, like the art for Cutiedoll, was improving stuff that I had to take shortcuts on for the initial release. 

Besides that, I'm also working on a new short story for Wanton Weekends, which I'm hoping to have ready for this weekend. If not.. Pin-ups? Pin-ups sound good? :D

I'll be honest, between the holidays and the frantic nature of developing, responding to feedback, and quashing bugs, ol' Neon's just a bit tired. So, I'm going to cut this short and just say I hope you're all having a great New Year, and I can't wait to continue sharing the story of Guy and all his Friends with you in 2024. I truly can't thank you fine folks enough for sticking with me, and being so invested in my little story. You really can't imagine what it means to me.

Happy New Year's Neon. I hope that you're able to take a little time to rest and recharge once you finish everything you want to add to the update for the public release. As for this most recent update, a story update is fine too. If anything, it should be expected that some updates will be heavier on the story side of the equation while others may feature a little more erotic content for visual novels that are telling actual stories rather than nukige style works where the plot is simply a contrivance that only serves as a setting for the sex scenes and generally facilitates the movement of the reader from one licentious scene to the next as quickly as possible. For more specifics, Brittani is competing with Ashe and Viola for the spot of my favorite in this particular work. This update certainly caused Brittani to rise higher in my estimation given her personality and actions when contrasted with her mother. Isabella is a piece of work to put it mildly, and it will be a genuine pleasure to see Britanni freed from the influence of that statuesque, churlish harpy. Although, it seems like Pepper may be in need of more immediate assistance, especially in light of the events surrounding her online persona. Keep up the excellent work and take care of yourself.

I'm enjoying everything so far, though I'm worried about stuff with Ashe now, as I'm generally not a fan of cheating. I don't want to feel like a pos for being with multiple girls in a porn game. If this was a game where routes got locked off early, that would be another thing. I just want the option for everyone to be happy and ok with things. It's your game, I'm just giving my thoughts.

I appreciate your thoughts! I’ll continue to navigate this as best I can. I don’t want to spoil things, but on her love route Ashe has intimated that she may be open to a threesome, and down that path might lie some poly options, etc.
