Hey friends, hope your week is off to a good start!

Yesterday I began my rendering process for the new chapter in earnest, starting things off with the scene where you wake up in the lobby office. Just due to the number of characters involved, as well as the overall length of the scene, I knew this one would be the biggest pain in the butt. So, I wanted to get it out of the way first.

But hey, how about Carolina? I think she looks a little better every time we see her. She's really rocking that cardigan, so I wanted to do a couple of little 'portrait' style shots of her, so you folks could really appreciate her.

At present I'm still in the early stages of things. So, I've only got 20~ images officially rendered for the next update, but I'll be able to reuse a lot of the test images I've already done, which should put me closer to 50~ total images for the update. On the writing end of things I have all the openings, and most of Alex and Risa's scenes written. I'm trying to hit the writing hard over the next few days. Unfortunately I just hit a bit of a mental block for a while, and started second-guessing myself. That led to some periods of writing and rewriting, followed by laying on my couch and staring at my ceiling, followed by yet more writing.

But, I feel like I'm back on track now! I actually took a little break to work on a stand-alone short game, in the vein of my previous mini-game, The Student Loan. But, this one's more connected to the events of Friends Indeed. I don't know when/if I'll be able to finish it, but it served its purpose and broke my writer's block.

I know it's not the most exciting update, but things are officially in motion now, and I'll be working hard over the next several weeks to bring to the update to completion. Currently I'm targeting November for release, but forgive me if I change that as I get deeper into the update. I have a bad habit of making things more complicated for myself halfway through a release.

But, as always I just want to let you know how much I appreciate having you folks here. It's your enthusiasm and support that forces me to stop staring at the ceiling when I'm having an off day, get off the couch, and do some work. I always love getting messages here, but the Discord server's also a great way to chat with me, and other fans of the game, so don't be afraid to pop over there and say hello.

As always, take care of yourselves, thank you for your support, and I'll see you here next time!
