Dev Update 1/30/23 (Patreon)

Hey friends, hope all's well with you and yours!

Work's proceeding well on FiN - I've released a demo containing the first four scenes of Chapter Four: Part Two to the $15 tier, and reactions have been pretty positive across the board. But, I'm still working to incorporate some feedback from those fine folks, as well as correct typos and a couple of minor continuity issues. And I'm still expanding Pepper's scene to include more lewd content than initially planned. Sometimes you just have to chase your bliss, y'know? Currently working on those renders, primarily.

But, I'm also forging ahead onto the next scene, working to bring Wren to life with some early renders.. As you'll notice above, her prosthetic foot doesn't really want to cooperate with some poses, clipping through her shoe. It can be a bit bothersome. But, nothing I can't fix a little creativity.

Speaking of Wren, I kept toying around with her initial design (as you can see in the renders above), trying different eyes, different eyebrows, different skin tones.. But, I keep coming back to her first one. So, I'm just gonna trust my instincts and go with her initial look as something of a non-traditional redhead.

In addition to working on the rest of Pepper's stuff, and figuring out Wren, I completed more headshots for our speaking characters. I think they definitely add a sense of extra production value to the game, but I'm curious to see how people like them, when they see the next release.

Current renders for the new chapter are at 406, and writing-wise, I'm edging closer to the finish line every day. I did decide to make my life a little easier and streamline Mason's scene in the next installment, providing two main paths instead of the three I'd written/planned. That'll help speed things up a bit, without seriously impacting people's available choices.

I'm feeling good, though! I'm finally in a groove where I can reliably do a nice chunk of renders every day, and progress is moving along well.
