Dev Update 11/1/22 (Patreon)

Hey, hey folks!

I've gotten some rest since yesterday, and I'm back to work on the game this morning. Currently I'm working on queuing renders for Chapter Four, as well as setting up Ashe's big date in the script. But, since I don't have much of anything interesting to share as far as current renders (it's mostly just Guy/MC eating breakfast) I wanted to give you all a glimpse of what the Halloween Special almost was.

One idea would have seen the cast in a flashback set on Halloween the year prior. Nicki and Brent were still dating, and Guy hadn't yet found his confidence. I think it'd be interesting to show those characters at that time and place in their lives. But, it's something I want to dedicate a little more time to, than I had available for this Halloween update.

The other idea would have been set in the same universe as FiN, but starring new characters - similar to The Student Loan. This story would have seen you playing the roommate of an out of control party girl, intent on using Halloween to scare her straight. I still think this would be a fun idea, but I need to workshop it a little.

But, I'm putting all that aside and focusing on FiN for the next few weeks. I want to clean up that Halloween chapter a bit, adding a little bit of diversity to the dialogue/renders based on alignment/relationship  scores, while also adding a few costume renders. I think it'd be nice to show her as the young, fun mom, before she and Gabby began to butt heads.

That's it for now! I've got big goals as far as rendering this month, so I'm going to get back to it!
