Hey friends, hope everyone's doing well this week!

This was a big weekend for the Patreon, with lots of new patrons joining us. Super happy to have all you folks here for the ride, and I'm glad that Chapter Two resonated enough that you were encouraged to support it with your hard-earned dollars. Times are tight for the entire global economy, so it means more now than ever.

In addition to Chapter Two of FiN releasing, the final version of my mini-game The Student Loan came out over the weekend for $15+ patrons. As a reminder, it will next be available to $5 patrons on July 5th, and $2 patrons on July 19th. I had a lot of fun making it, incorporating music and some small, simple animations. I'll be curious to see how everyone reacts to it, because right now I think the animations will definitely find a place in FiN.

As for FiN Chapter Three, the work is ongoing, as you can see in the renders up top! This chapter's going to be really heavy on content featuring Nicki, Gabby, Madison, and Brittani, and I can't wait. Gabby and Brittani basically write themselves, and I'm interested in fleshing Madison out a bit. And of course it's nice to have Nicki back, changed but still the same. She and the MC have a lot of catching up to do.

Currently I'm writing and rendering at the same time, trying to avoid the bottlenecks in productivity that happened with Chapter Two. I'm feeling good about it! I don't have a ton of renders yet, but I'm into the second major scene of the update, and I like how it's going.

If last chapter expanded the world of the game, this one expands the drama and stakes, making the MC aware of the fact that he can't always just throw money at his problems, and expect them to go away. New challenges, new opportunities, and new Friends in Need!

Until next time, take care of yourselves, and have a great week.

Fair question! I’m really rendering slightly behind the script. I’m basically doing a very methodical plot outline of the whole chapter, writing one scene in its entirety, and then rendering that first scene while I write the next one. There’s always the possibility I might need to go back and add a few renders or change some dialogue, but it wouldn’t be too much headache. As long as I don’t completely redo nearly 100 renders like last time (😅), I should be able to keep to the schedule.

That makes perfect sense to me! Thanks for answering :)

Thank you for the update and the game. It is great and I am glad to support it. Can’t wait for the chapter where we will be picking a birthday present (and send the girl a skimpy bikini as a vague threat/promise). As I understand, without Ash advise he will go with the bikini gift.

Well, I did just buy an asset for a changing room/clothing store, so you’re onto something. 😉 And thank you for the kind words! Glad you’re enjoying it.

I think it is in a spoiler territory, but I hope there will be a development to the whole “stopped with drugs” storyline.

Absolutely! I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say that it’ll be a major part of Madison and Gabby’s story going forward, and a prominent part of the next update. We didn’t see Madison’s state when she came home, but she definitely came home alone.

Great. So now they will need money on lawyers as well as on shop. I like the way you write and compose a story - every bit of dialogue is used later (if information is given to player, it will be relevant), characters that are introduced in the dialogue become relevant (rival girl with tits), you established the most interesting and distant love interest from the start and keep us engaged and waiting for it. All very technical and well done.
