The game is NOT using/applying Xbox HDR Calibration app settings.

The game will basically offer a pretty decent HDR image for all Halo games in the collection by default.

If you have an LG OLED and:

> you're using Dynamic Tone Mapping or Dynamic Contrast:

  • Set HDR Brightness slider to: 1.000 (nits; Max);

> you're using HGIG:

  • Set HDR Brightness slider to: 800 (nits) or 1.000 nits (for G2 and G3).

If you don't have an LG OLED and:

> you don't have an HGIG option:

  • Set HDR Brightness slider to: 1.000 (nits);

> you're using HGIG:

  • Set HDR slider to the value corresponding real Peak HDR Luminance of your TV in "nits" (while keeping in mind you cannot exceed 1.000 nits).

In all cases leave Paper White to its default (0.5) and slightly raise the Contrast value to 6.0 for a balanced/correct exposure and gamma of both in-game menus and gameplay.

You can still increase Paper White value to make in-game menus and gameplay exposure brighter.

You can still change Contrast if you want darker/brighter shadows during gameplay.
