What a good string of albums, lately! This list kind of lost me for a bit with all the double albums in a row but Fever to Tell ruled. My sweetie was excited for this one, too. This album came out when I started really watching MTV and Fuse and music videos on demand so I was always aware of Yeah Yeah Yeahs but Maps kind of turned me off because I was impatient lol. Turning on Rich for the first time last week was crazy! Had I heard that, Y Control or Black Tongue before Maps, I would have absolutely listened sooner. (I still have a major soft spot for all the great garage rock/art punk singles that came out in the early 2000s. Lots of great songs with excellent music videos.) I saw a great tiktok the other day that mentioned Maps and how Kelly Clarkson borrowed the breakdown at 2 min in for Since U Been Gone - that was a real mindblower! Next week will be a good one! Queue up Step Into Christmas afterward for a little seasonal flair, as well. (I saw there’s a deluxe anniversary edition that’s 4 hours long…extra credit?)

This album was alright. Didn't mind it. Not sure it's fully my style. 3.25/5. Maps is obviously an amazing song, my fave of the record. Also, that cure song is amazing! I'm definitely going to check out their stuff, as I've never heard any of their albums.

Man I only knew about their music from games and movies.
