I'm still on the fence about buying this one. Lots of fans of it lauding its brilliance, but every time I watch footage it looks like the most basic game. Do the rhythms get more complex at all? I'd like to see what all the fuss is about, but there's so much to play. . .

All I know about Flame of Recca is that it’s currently on Peacock to stream lol

It's a game you have to play to get it. You get more allies that can assist with mixing up your moves and getting more combos feels great. Playing to the rhythm is what makes this game great.
