So much crazy stuff happened in this movie that gets a "Why?!" or "What?!" that its definitely worth watching for yourself, no review could do it justice. I do feel its still worth calling out the "White Savior" narrative. I also felt "white washed" wasn't quite what was happening with this movie. Though the focus could've spent more time developing Lin and the General of the Army (who we were supposed to care about, yet had 2 to 3 scenes?) instead of wasting time on the whole Dafoe plot.
