Happy Thanksgiving! (Patreon)

Probably one of my better derpy face photos... 🤣 Happy Thanksgiving y'all! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day, whether you celebrate or not. I'm incredibly thankful and grateful for everyone who supports ThreatWire along with my other shows via the web, whether thru patreon or just by watching them on YouTube or by buying stuff via Hak5's HakShop (which helps fund Hak5, not ThreatWire). I still consider my job to be so weird, given it didn't even exist when I was in college. But I couldn't ask for a better job or a more rewarding career. Even though I'm currently on vacation, i keep seeing security stories pop up and think to myself "oooo! I need to talk about this on ThreatWire!" I'm heading back to America on Monday and will be back on ThreatWire that week as well! In the meantime, how's your week going? If your visiting family, have you run into any infosec horror stories? Last time I was home, a family member asked me why her computer kept getting insane amount of popups via INTERNET EXPLORER. She hadn't restarted the machine in months and must have visited a phishing site......... Needless to say, I spent a few hours downloading chrome, opting her into security settings, and installing privacy extensions... Ayeyey. See y'all soon!
