It is Saturday!

I apologize for the one-day delay, but I wanted to get to a certain point before making this progress report and I just did, so here I am celebrating!

Like I said in my quick update post, I was only able to get back to writing on Wednesday, but these three days have been productive nonetheless! I finished the second Bonus Content - featuring our lovely Alessa, which I'll post sometime next week -and I just finished writing a huge branching choice!

This one blew up past what I was expecting, but I just had an idea for it, and I couldn't contain myself! The choice ended up being about 5k words all together, which isn't necessarily a lot, but I am closer to the end of the first scene of chapter one, which is, in all honesty, the most... boring? Dull? Let's go with the not-as-exciting one of the chapter.

For me to write, anyway. Hopefully, it'll be at least engaging for you guys to read 😄 But yes, the next scenes are so much more fun, I want to get to them quickly.

That's exactly my goal for next week! Finish the first scene of chapter one, and, if all goes well, get a good head-start on scene two. Scene two will be huge because it'll have at least three different versions - same with scene three - so I won't delude myself into believing I'll have it finished by next Friday, but I will certainly try.

This pause seemed like such a long time. It's almost... odd to be back on the keyboard, but at the same time, it feels as natural as breathing air. May is just around the corner, and then June and the first book's publication is becoming so real once again.

As is the race to get this sequel underway. I want to share a demo as soon as possible!

That is all for now. I hope your week is fantastic! Monday is a holiday in my country, which is always a welcomed respite, and one that I am planning to take full advantage of. See you next week! 🌹

Let me just leave you with a picture of Bilbo, April and Howl, my sister's pets that I was finally able to meet on this trip. I was missing Nero and Nala terribly, but damn if saying goodbye to this trio wasn't hard. I wish animals would learn how to video call already...
