Here it is, the long-sought End command. T_T

I have... lied to you again. I said I only had about 10 notebook pages left to finish the chapter, but it was not so. I wrote 31 more xD I just couldn't make myself cut the content. The chapter grew once more, and the five scenes that make it are now six. In the end, there's a sort of mini-game where you have to make quick, multiple decisions that can lead you to different paths, and they're not long, but hopefully, they'll be fun to play through!

Action is hard in interactive fiction (to be honest, action scenes are hard for me in general), so I hope this one will be as engaging to read as it was to write it!

The chapter ended at 106 pages. Let us see how many words that'll translate to.

But, it is over. Now, as always, it's time to hop onto the computer and start to craft the second draft. Sentences to clear, dialogue to adjust, atmosphere to wrestle down. And, of course, choices and paths to fill. It will be a lot of work, especially since so much now depends on past choices and interactions - conversations can have completely different beginnings based on where you stand with a character. Their reactions and tolerance in general also differ.

One major, split branch that will impact all the games has started in Book One, but it's now that you really start to feel its weight. Allies and enemies are made here as lines are drawn on the sand.

For to move forward, you have to burn some bridges. (That's the title of the Chapter, by the way. Burning Bridges😄).

I'll be fairly busy the rest of the week, for real-life has the nasty habit of storming in and demanding attention, so I probably won't be able to write much tomorrow and Thursday. But I'm hoping I can start the second draft on Friday. Look at the scenes, just waiting to be tackled!

Have a lovely day! 🌹
