Us Watchers in the Bar are pretty elated with this here shoot! 

Not only cause it's the new Mortal Kombat, which is not exactly the best film in the world but a still damn fun entertaining flick, but it's a more momentous occasion cause its legit the first time we rock a watch

It's the first time Sean, Morgan, Dustin, and Millie have physically gotten together in more than a year! So, by default, MK21 is gonna land on all of our best of the year lists for that simple reason alone! But we're back and we're having such a fucking great time! 

A guy who is dumb as dirt, foul-mouthed, and drinks ---- uh.... you better believe we are TEAM KANO!! Does Cole being from the Southside of Chicago endear us to him --  eeeehhh, not exactly but whatever. Do we crack the Liu Kang Pizzagate code as he unlocks the power of the Fire Pizza OVEN?!?! 

Also, RIP to DRAGON LADY, holy fuck what a fucking exit!

First time together in more then a year? Hell yea, this is what we like to see.

Yay!! Back together! Can’t wait to watch tomorrow. I watched it in theaters (with a scorpion mask on baby!) and had a great time. Not a great movie by any means, but really up there as far as passing the low bar of video game movies. It’s cool this movie was my first time back in the theater in over a year, and your first video in over a year back together. MORTAL KOMBAT!!!

Hahahahaha! Amazing with the Scorpion mask!!! It was basically a prequel film as the first movie, the focus on Their strengths I think this could be a decent stab at the MK universe!

I gotta share my 2 biggest gripes. The mom and daughter should have died, it would have made more sense character wise for Sub-zero and would have given us some sympathy for Cole. Secondly was the quick editing of the fight scenes. Most of these actors were martial artists, so they could have gotten away with some cooler longer shots. And that’s all I got to say about that (there’s your Forrest Gump quote)

i watched this film more times then justice league uncut now lol yall patreon folks are killing me lol any excuse to see my future baby momma ludi lin is a good one lol sigh one day. and seeing the crew in the same room together? this is some twilight zone shit lol

agree with those. i would add the character of cole as is isnt needed. could have made this the origin of johnny cage (his stage name) and kept everything else and nothing would have changed, like why did it have to be a NEW character? i also think the runtime was too short and that kano's turn was too fast cause as soon as that happened we were in the third act aka end of the film. we could have had the team training together for a few days while shang tsung recruits his team we didnt see when raiden put up the barrier (reiko, nitara, kabal). that would have given us more character development which would bond us to the characters more. my favorite scene was the dinner table "the library is open!" reading challenge lol i wanted more of that and montages of them fighting. i also think it was stupid to side line your ONE female lead by not giving her an mk mark from jump. this film was disappointing not because it was bad but because it had so much potential and so much good in it. fingers crossed for a bigger and better sequel

i would compare the mortal kombat lore to comics: retcons galore. like this story you see in the beginning that is all we know. warring clans and sub zero kills scorpions family. they then explained later on in a retcon "oh there is more to the story. sub zero was being manipulated by quan chi the whole time in some master plan long con shit". my knowlege is mostly from none game shit as im so not a gamer (had a sega as a kid and thats it) so i never heard of a nitara or a reiko. im like "who are these clowns? where is jade, kitana and scarlet?"

well its the best live action mortal kombat film........the best is the scorpion's revenge animated film from last year. personally kano was super annoying. i like good MEN not bad BOYS so.......GLAD HE"S DEAD! liu kang and kung lao were the best in the film! quan chi will be in the sequel since he is all behind scorpion's ressurrection and i need him to bring back kung lao!
