Fun facts! -Junji Ito himself voiced the typhoon calling out for "Kirie"! :D -The town's name Kurouzu (黒渦) does literally translate to "Black Spiral" so the town really didn't have much of a chance lol I'm glad to see y'all enjoy this, production mishaps aside, it's still one of the better Ito adaptations. After the "shock" of Episode 2, I still thoroughly enjoyed episode 3. The thing about Uzumaki is that you need A LOT more runtime to make it work. If only they kept the same studio and director of episode 1 and half-timed the pace. Like this could really work as an 8-12 episode miniseries. One chapter, one story per episode. The problem is that Junji Ito's illustrations are also super detailed. Episode 1 really gave a taste of that formula working. But from what Jason Demarco seemed to alluded to, it's expensive and labor intensive. I would 10000% recommend reading Uzumaki. The thing about this adaptation is the attempt to create "one" singular narrative. The way Uzumaki was written, it's a collection of short stories that happen in the town. With Kirie and Shuichi being either the subject or observer of each story. Each chapter focuses on only one story beat and ends it. A LOT has been cut out from each story in order to keep this pace. Nothing jumps around in the manga, few stories bleed into each other or weave themselves around. It's only until the final chapters do they thread a singular plotline for Kirie and Shuichi.

Oh no, more nightmares. Random question, are you guys still going to do Batman: Caped Crusader? I know you're doing like a 1,000 shows right now.

A question, does anyone know what's happening with the reactions to Neon Genesis Evangelion? Why are they blocked?

Waiting for Vinland...

I wonder if they’re having copyright issues or something cause it’s been like 3 weeks and not even an update

Y’all asked about checking out Dandadan and I say go for it! I hadn’t heard much about the manga but apparently the anime is the new hotness this season. It’s super fun so far! Doesn’t seem to be reinventing any wheels but it’s a really solid shonen that grabbed me more than most of its contemporaries. If you check it out, might be worth a sub vs dub vote. Personally I prefer the dub because it’s a really funny show and I firmly believe the more comedic a show is the better the dub becomes.
