Can't wait to watch this whole dang thing with y'all. Just listening to you guys talk about it after words just has me excited to see how it all unfolds for you. I also appreciate how you guys refer to this like a western, there is quite a bit of truth to that. This show gets to take its time telling its story as if it were, and you see similar character traits and motives.

Berserker mushrooms were apparently a real thing. Doesn't relaly make you stronger just makes you care less about getting hurt so you can fight harder. It's not really a power up, it's the same thing the nazis did where they made all the soldiers use meth to do the blitzkreigs. A way to lower fear and inhibitions.

yesss can’t wait for more Vinland saga reactions!! this episode is so important for the whole show, but my favorite bit in this is Thors and Askeladd's interaction, you can’t always trust what Askeladd says and it's hard to know what he's thinking most of the time but the way his facial expressions changed a lot during his moment with thors is interesting, when he said “will you be our leader?” i genuinely think he meant it, but he quickly brushes it off as a joke because he doesn’t think thors would agree to it anyway. Askeladd is oftentimes difficult to read, he likes to keep his cards close to his chest, and always seems in control of any situation bc of his laid-back almost bored attitude (which makes this episode so interesting for his character because in this he actually shows genuine excitement and admiration to someone, to Thors. Morgan is right as always, he totally was crushing hard😔💔)

I wander into the comment section like a junky. "Where's the Angel reaction?" Stumbles into the dresser. Opens the top drawer and furiously rummages through it. "I need my HOTD fan watches GOT for the very first time...where is it?" Opens all the drawers looking for it. Finally falls to the floor in defeat.
