I know you guys finished this a while back but id love for you to watch the bloopers on youtube. I think you all would appreciate them and its pretty common for reaction channels to watch it after they finish fmab :)

Totally agree that Hohenheim was a deadbeat haha But his reason for leaving will always be super poetic to me, like he did have a great life but felt as though he could not face a life without Trisha after she died so left to find a way to become mortal. Which i think is beautiful lol LOVED this reaction guys, loved crying with Dustin again, its my favourite pastime, you are all great I just wanted to point out that Dustins eyes are so soft and always make me cry when he tears up lol

Can't believe it's almost done! What a journey! To Morgan's point about God/The Truth not giving a clear answer to Father in an almost mocking way, it's a well deserved punishment in my opinion. The answer is simple, the pursuit of perfection to "become" God is a fruitless and empty task. Our existence is already "perfect". Father has killed *millions* of people, genocided two nation-states, would have exterminated all of humanity, and scorched the Earth to ashes in order to pursue this false idea of "perfection". Father doesn't deserve an answer because no answer would have satisfied him. Father isn't crying out of sincerity, he's crying in the way a child throws a tantrum for not receiving everything they want.

Damn I forgot how well done these last few episodes this one got me emotional

To add to this, each person's Portal of Truth has individual engravings showing their own understanding and knowledge. Father's portal is completely blank, symbolizing that he learned nothing in the end.

The show was clever in making people nervous after killing off Nina and Hughes so early that most people that watch always expect the worst to happen throughout the series. So the happy ending was a pleasent surprise. As for Hohenhiem, The show really trimmed down his reason for leaving but Sean was right, he left to stop father. They cut alot of his travels from the show for some reason.

Its not "for some reason". Im fairly certain the anime was specifically funded for 64 episodes, which means that part of the adaptation process was fitting the story in that time frame... Not every anime gets 30000 episodes like Naruto or One Piece (and usually the episode quality of those infinite-length shows is pretty lousy..).

Ed's leg was the price for trying to resurrect their mom. His arm was the price for transmuting Al's soul to bond it to the armor. When Al gave up the armor and went back to his body, Ed's arm was refunded.
