This development preview will give you a look into new features coming to Oh So Hero!
The game's two developers, Ket & Red, comprise the programming and art/animation sides, respectively.
Here are their updates!
Ket's Update:
Hi everyone!
I’ve been making great progress on the audio for the game. All of the sound effects have been completed, I’ve updated the audio code to streamline implementation, and all of Bates' attacks now have sound! All that’s left is to add a few of the new sounds to other places in the game and to tie up some loose ends. After that, I’ll move onto fixing Bates AI.

Red's Update:
Hey everyone! Hope you are all doing well. Wanted to give you guys a little update on my progress and things to come.
I've completed all the Bates Cutscene Intro assets.
I'm still finishing up the victory fight completion plot stuff. Unfortunately it will take more time.
I'm currently wrapping up the more spoilery plot stuff! (You’ll have to see it in game when it’s ready.) It should take me a week more to finish.
The game over scenes will come last as we are reconsidering technical aspects including RAM usage.
Beyond Bates, we're already working on the next Enemy! I know we're all eager to move on to the next enemies and areas.
The next Enemy that will be available is Nuzzle: a cave-dwelling people who simply love to Nuzzle!
Arty has done great work so far on them!
We look forward to showing off more of Nuzzle later this month in our next preview post~
We haven't forgotten some of the earlier enemy designs like the Squirrels by the way! Those will be touched on later!
The next available area will be the Grand Coastal Caverns. This will be where you meet Nuzzle!
It's lacking a lot of the decal work and completed lighting work at the moment. Essentially Joe will be entering from the left of the Sheo Islands Beach starting area into a coastal cavern.
NPCs will be mining the area for precious ore. (Think mining levels in Donkey Kong Country 2!)
There are two sections to this area: the mining section, and another section with ruins and laboratory-like aesthetics we will be showing off in more detail soon!
