5/1/24 - Hazelnut Latte Update (Patreon)

Howdy everyone! Time for another update on how things are going over here :D

Here are some backgrounds that I don't think I've shown off before? The first place is a secret, but the second is Robbie's room.

I did some writing!

* [Episode 5] contains 2,044 dialogue blocks and 14,790 words. (+1,722)

Almost 2k! Not too shabby!

I stayed home today because I had to write naughty things. No coffee shop for me, which is cool, because I live near Seattle where every corner has a coffee place. So I wrote 3 lewd scenes! :D Two of them being scenes with Vera, but different because you can either give or receive. ;) The other is a Hazel scene, which is... sort of an odd one, that I will give details on EVENTUALLY! But it's sort of a secret scene, so yeah, hmm.

Anyway! The episode is shaping up quite nicely! The biggest things I have to do writing wise is

A. Write a nice end to the episode.

B. Go back through dialogue and rewrite it to account for variables like asexual, romance, etc.

C. Write the big scene but from a completely different perspective in case you aren't there to witness it! (this will make sense eventually)

But all things considered, it's going well!

In the art department, we need some more art that Kokman is working on.

We need a new character sprite and maybe 2 other characters, but they won't have too many expressions. A lewd scene. And some 'cinematic' type images.

Which is fine! Because we have a lot of work to do on the map system!

The map is going well! We have ironed out the UI a bit and the darn thing works! (Thanks to Nobafka!)

We changed up the UI to be cleaner, simpler, and also more colorful!

It tells you the time of day and what day it is. The clock is used to advance time which will change what is on the map.

The map will be implemented in Episode 6 now!

Originally, I wanted it in Episode 5, but there is just too much going on for all that. (Really, my old outline had all this happening in Episode 3, but ya know, the story grew and grew...)

Episode 6 will include a lot of locations and new characters!

Anyway, that is all I got for now so I want to thank everyone for their continued support!

April was my first month completely full time indie dev, and I managed to pay rent! :D

So seriously, you are all amazing people who are so kind and fantastic.

I'm off to do some home chores and watch wrestling <3
