Em

I expected to like this album because P1Harmony have been putting out excellent releases since debut, but I did not expect to LOVE this album, not as much as I do. It surprised me a lot - really took me back to an early 3rd gen boy group era, somehow reminding me of groups like 24K, BlockB, SPEED etc? It's not this /exact/ sound but I feel like it has many elements of it, as P1H discography does have in general. My top 3 tracks for this album are 1. Let Me Love You, 2. Street Star, and 3. Late Night Calls! Let Me Love You is just so juicy and I absolutely adore this funky vibe - I don't know if they edited their voices or layered them or something (I'm not that good at music lmao), but the effect is SOOO fun, will be listening to this song 24/7 for the recent future!! Street Star I feel like is P1H at their classic best - the instrumental goes extremely hard and that small switchup in the bridge adds a lot, you can really Get Into the song. Late Night Calls' melodies and how they're delivered somehow make me nostalgic for the 2010s, which is a very good thing - the melodies are very beautiful! The only thing that makes it number 3 and not 2 is that I don't really vibe with the dense(?)/fast percussion in the chorus 😅 otherwise it's a perfect song though! I absolutely get what you mean by Love Story having those BigBang ballad vibes! Honestly that's partly what makes this album a no-skip for me - I usually don't really like ballads unless it's TVSJ or BigBang (both for two different reasons), and it was nice to hear this sound again! Emergency has BIG early 3rd gen bg BlockB vibes, especially the high endings/screams you pointed out! Very Expressive :D Also I want shout out Countdown To Love - I usually don't like songs with this sound, but somehow I like it a lot??? This type of chorus usually would turn my brain off but here it just makes me nostalgic for 2010s music again. The beginning immediately reminded me particularly of Barbra Streisand by Duck Sauce for some reason (had to actively look for the song name I haven't actively thought about it in years LMAO)?? And of course those verses, they're excellent rappers! All in all - great album! Fantastic concept as well - the visual teasers prior to release were very fun and I'm glad the cover photo for the album shows that as well!
