I'm fully caught up on One Piece. Because the pace of the story is different in later episodes, I thought I'd never care to re-watch the early slower parts. but watching them again through your perspectives is so awesome. I was not questioning things at all on my first watch. I just labeled everything as 'one piece whackiness' and kept it pushing. but now I'm watching it like... forreal what was going on in this world? a cyclone, snow, then some pied-piper looking dude just standing on water?

Odas use of environment and structures is amazing i feel like every island has noticeable terrain that makes you question it only for it to be used later in the plot or thematically.

Usopp's stories are now no longer stories! Gigantic Goldfish and it's island size poop story! Checked! So excited for next island!!! What does Usopp tell? well lies and stories. Another word for that is Fables. Elbaf backwords is Fable! One story Usopp would tell Kaya to cheer her up relates to him meeting a giant goldfish in the Southern seas. According to him, the goldfish's poop is so large that he mistook it for an island = The Nothing At All Island So even stuff he makes up, can actually be true xD

I love how the foreshadowing from waaay back when Luffy was recruiting crew members came back to bite them in the ass. Usually, when you recruit a team you need to make sure you have strong fighters but almost most importantly, a medic on the ship is a must have. But Luffy being the idiot he is, when asked who to recruit next, his priority was to recruit a chef or musician so sailing would be more entertaining, thus recruiting Sanji. But now Luffy’s idiotic recruiting policy bit them in the ass
