In live action they needed something to push Luffy forward to actually get from encounter to encounter since they don't have time to show every small arc of every character so widely. So they brought Garp & Koby way earlier and made them chase the Strawhats so you can also see that Koby evolves too.

Yeah, Garp ain’t revealed until way later. Introducing him early in the LA was one of the main things Oda was against but they ended up convincing him. I understand why he’d be against it though, because The East Blue is a very small pond and not on someone like Garps level. There’s way more important things he needs to be doing as a Marine Vice-Admiral tbh

Btw, if you guys want yous could react to all the One Piece openings. I’ve seen a lot of reactors do it while still around these episodes aswell. Most of the openings don’t really show anything that actually happens in the Anime and have nothing much to do with the plot and by the time yous catch up you’ll definitely have forgotten all of it anyways since it’s a lot of Episodes. It’s just a nice way to see how each arc just has better Animation and quality. It’ll get you more hyped and excited

Two things that are spoiler free: Ghin in English is pronounced the same as Djinn. I like to think he is directly a servant of a demon regardless of his own beliefs. Second: Oda believed Sanji was too like-able and decided to add a flaw, the way that Zoro is an alcoholic. Sanji is slightly misogynistic, yet mixed with chivalry. Take what he says with a grain of salt. Try not to let it subtract from him as a person and his character development. Eventually with his back story (past episode 820) it will start to make more sense and add context. Good luck holding on until then😅😂.

While I understand why the live action cut Don Krieg, it is a shame because Ghin is a really good character with depth and nice character arc over the Baratie episodes.

Yes the voice actors are the same from here up until the recent episode if I'm not mistaken. Pretty amazing for their vocal work since years have past. Also yes, Sanji is your usual anime simp, he's really strong and cool but has he's flaw which is women but he's still cool and strong regardless.

Im for this, ive seen many reactors react to all the openings before watching the series and all it does is get them more hyped for whats to come. Obviously your going to see characters you havnt seen yet but it doesnt take away from what makes one piece so enjoyable, it only adds to it.

I don't think including a hint for something they won't see for at least 6 years is much of a spoiler. Plus I didn't even give the exact episode number. It's just something to look forward to, and a reason to put Sanji's cringe to the side until then.

never compare live actions....Live actions are the least authentic version of any animes/novels. A lot of details are cut out to meet the movie time frame.

To Ron and Michelle, no spoilers but in upcoming EP26, there is an instance where the anime does something different than the manga. So keep that in mind. It regards to 10:10 and 18:29 of the episode. Can't wait to rewatch the rest of the series with yall!

Hi! Just wanted to say this in case no one mentioned this to you: Usopp has the long nose because he lies so much like Pinnochio. His name also means liar in japanese, but is also a play on words with aesobs fables, where one of the stories in there is "the boy who cried wolf". Obviously he is the boy who cried wolf. There are many layers like this to so many characters in One Piece, so never think that one of your ideas you pick up on are too stupid <3

If they do anything, I feel like they should just do what that one commenter suggested a few episodes back and react to The Breathtaking World of One Piece video. That amv gets you hyped as hell for the journey and wouldn’t spoil nearly as much as the OPs would.

The Baratie arc is the one that has the most difference between the Anime Manga with the Live Action. Not sure if you noticed, but there are Easter Eggs in the anime and Manga so Patty the cook when in the bathroom, Eiichiro Oda the One Piece manga creator's name was on the mirror. Another Easter Egg you can look out for in the anime is Pandaman. There are other Easter Eggs that you will find later and once you caught up on the anime maybe you wanna go back to the Live Action to see checkout the Easter Eggs in the Live Action. Haha^^

because a live action adaptation isnt suppose to be a 1 to 1 remake if so whats the point in making it, its supposed to tell the story and get the main themes in a quicker/ easier way for non fans to understand, and if you want more you have the anime/ manga.
