Teaching Michelle basketball one episode at a time 😂

I like this anime and all but it sometimes looks so corny at times. their jumpers look broke and its just ackward looking at times. I thought the animations and movement in blue lock looked fine. Im a huge basketball fan, not so much soccer so I wonder if that plays a part in my opinion. Also the fact that they showed both teams score like a total of what looked like at least 5 baskets in a span of 10 seconds 😂

As I said in previous episode too, really appreciate the basketball knowledge being dished out. I grew up with zero basketball so its really helpful.

I love taking breaks from the heavy hitters of the modern age like JJK and Demon Slayer and appreciating the older animation and vibe like Kuroko's Basketball, it's refreshing. Glad you are enjoying it so far, it only gets better!!

for your information, kuroko plays small foward. He can pass but he don't have no dribble or real field iq to play point guard. He might switch to point guard sometimes for strategie purpose but its rare. The main pg is izuki.

Well Blue Lock is much more new anime and enjoys the benefits what this anime or even Haikyuu did for it. Making sports anime more popular.

I agree that at certain times the animation can look a little goofy compared to a show like Blue Lock, however the most likely factor for that probably has to do with the age of the two anime's. Remember that Kuroko no Basket came out in 2012 (11 years ago) meanwhile Blue Lock came out in 2022. So of course the animation style in Kuroko no Basket is going to look a little dated and not as smooth as Blue Lock, 3D animation and CGI has come a long way since then after all and I think it adds more depth to the newer sports anime's that couldn't necessarily be shown to the same degree with some of the older sports anime's and the newer sports anime's definitely benefit from that. However older sports anime's just have a nostalgic feel to them (after all I'm still a sucker for older anime's with "older" animation styles) but that might just be because I, myself am getting older now lol! Personally my favorite sports anime are older ones like- -Haikyuu -Kuroko no Basket -Diamond no Ace I like Blue Lock too, it's my favourite new sports anime (and I watch pretty much EVERY sports anime that comes out) but I usually find myself more likely to re-watch the older sports anime's then I am to re-watch the new ones.

I get what you guys are saying with it being an older anime. But at the same time when i see the animation of kise’s fadeaway it reminds me of that video of the guy in a cheeze it jersey bricking all his shots 😅. I mean dont get me wrong I still enjoyed the anime enough to watch the whole thing 👍🏽

ElCrook

Love the explanations Ron thank you. I've been watching basketball and the NBA a lot this season (because of a certain french guy ;) ) but, although I enjoy watching the games, I've never understand any other positions than point guard and center haha. So thanks for all these explanations ;)

Tea_Lover

I’m loving the consistent uploads to Kuroko loving the content lesgooo

Tyler Lacy

Outrageous shirt by Michelle. Absolutely outrageous 😂😂

Tyler Lacy

Damn, Ron teaching me basketball too. Need a lesson on fouls next episode 😂

FW

The same feeling I have with blue lock, u want them to be more of soccer but at the end of the day it's anime

MOB12

Check out animation from S2 onwards. It gets so much more smooth and looks better all around. Blue Lock used too much CGI for my liking, if it would of had the same level of animation as Kuroko as in S2 and S3 it might be the goat for me.

Yoona Kim

wow Hyuga-Kun glasses dude is my height sheesh

kai

tbh i aint know shit about basketball until i watched kuroko

Yoona Kim

This is Ron's favourite anime explaining about Basketball rules so kawaii!!

Arz.09

this is reminding me the animation early on wasnt as good

Yoona Kim

Wait when Kuroko was subbed in he was switching with the Forward 170cm guy?

EJ Roldan

Love this series, gonna enjoy this ride

油 ラー

Commander Erwin is back as one of the Generation of Miracles!! xD

MOB12

Yeah Kuroko is listed as a small forward but its partially because Seirin is just a smaller team as well as it might be a thing where the author just didnt think about having two PGs on the field at the same time cause like Ron said it is more rare so he may have just listed Kuroko as a small forward. To fill out the positions. Cause i think only Izuki and maybe Furihata are listed as PGs.

Yoona Kim

Oh bet thx for the info seen the show but it’s good to refresh my memory

Alex

Ron just taught me more about basketball in 10 minutes than my PE teachers did throughout all of middle and highschool

Diana

Thanks for the bball lesson! I pride myself on knowing nothing about sports but love sport anime.

Damien Lee

I think especially in todays context, where the traditional positions are mixed, its easier for certain positions to use the terms like he is a 3pt-shooter, or a forward that do more dunks/layups, or a playmaker, or a center. This broad categorizarion should be easier to understand especially for anime

Nuvaa

Kings fans and didnt mention Sabonis? the perfect PF/C example :D

Thomas Rex

By the way, fun fact about the hair colors. The generation of miracles character's names have their hair color in them. Kise has "Ki" = yellow.

mamimumemo

I don't remember how Kagami is so fast getting along with Kuroko, so funny 😂

mamimumemo

11:53 The captain is so... 👀♥️

mamimumemo

13:08 yess basketball lesson! I only remember point guard because I watched "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK" movie 😂😂😂

Swat Sid

Don't stop giving your basketball knowledge while watching the anime. This is why we are here :P

Liana Pagodova

I never would've watched this if it wasn't for your explanations

Scorpio

the explanations were the best thank you, i know the bigger names from watching youtube shorts, my fav is currie to watch but watching this and your explanation definitely has intrigued me to watch more

Secretly

Feel stupid commenting 3 months later but maybe comparing to Volleyball positions could help for Michelle. Centers are similar to middle blockers in their roles, The wing spikers could be compared to Forwards as they are the most versatile on both ends, and the setter would essentially be thetraditional pg.ofc the shooting guard would be more the opposite of the team. Anyway glad you guys are enjoying it.
