This and season 1's fight is some of the best relationship writing in the medium. As much as Rem is great, this is the difference between her and Emilia. Rem is the embodiment of the perfect waifu, but has to be rejected by Subaru as an analogy for rejecting the idea of a perfect girl—one who has unearned, unconditional love for him. Because that type of girl doesn't exist in real life, that is partly why we all feel so drawn to her, but why Subaru can't accept her love. She is the easy fantasy route haha

Even now, I feel like I might puke, but I'm still standing in front of you!" --- Subaru Subaru no longer has Echidna's qualification to take the trials, so he shouldn't even be in the ruins / graveyard anymore. After leaving the witches tea party in S2 Ep 13, he tried to reenter and failed. Subaru literally started to vomit as soon he got to the entrance. Right now, he's forcing himself to deal with the side effects of being in the ruins without a qualification, and it's all to be by Emilia's side.

When Subaru first encountered three little punks, only Emilia camed to save him and he fell in love with her. It's the beginning of this show, beginning of the the whole story. So turly wish Emilia and Subaru will be happy ending, i don't even care about the Witch、the Curse bluh, bluh, bluh...LOL

I know many people dislike their "argument" but honestly I love it. It felt real and precisely what two people who care about each other would say when they are angry.

During the whole argument, Emilia was in Subaru's eyes to show love but the same cannot be said for Emilia up until the very end when Subaru appeared in her eyes.
