Comments

Honey

I've been waitiinngggg XD

David Waller

That intro 🤣🤣

Qbee

Lmao, no one believes Leorio is a teen like them xd. Gon and Killua are 12, Kurapika is 17 and Leorio is 19!

Vinh Tran

literally says he was 12 and took the exam and became a hunter lol.

Joseph

Literally showed gons dad in the first ep

Toni Puljić

He had a child after he passed a hunter exam and he gave that child to Mito.

Moses T24

The thing you gotta realize is that all these candidates are way above average in athleticism, even the ones that lost still ran way more than any normal human being could. Also, Gon's dad did pass the exam at 12 and then he had Gon probably years later

Trinature

I think u guys got it but just to clarify. Gons Dad took the hunter exam and passed at the age of 12. He then had Gon and sent him to live on the island with his aunt Mino.

Jake Turner

You guys were right about Gon's dad. Became a hunter at 12, several years passed, had a kid, and continued working as a hunter. Also Kurapika is 17 and Leorio is 19. Last point is that Yoshihiro Togashi, the author, is also married to Naoko Takeuchi, the author or Sailor Moon.

Dante

Two sentences can change your whole life and faith in humanity.

Tim

Gon's dad was 12 when he became a Hunter. Gon's dad also left Gon on the island to pursue the career of being a Hunter, instead of raising Gon as a parent. Gon is curious why his dad chose being a Hunter instead of being a Dad. Is being a Hunter more amazing than being a Dad? Is it much more important? Gon doesn't know so he decided to repeat his Dad's journey to find out.

Devron Love

I think ya'll are a littlw confused on the timeline of Gon's birth. Gon was born when Ging was an adult, he had already been a Hunter for many years before Gon was born. After Gon was born he took him back to his island to be raised by Mito-san, and then left Gon there to continue being a hunter.

Arz.09

We have seen pictures of ging before, we saw a picture of him when he was 12 like gon. He became a hunter at 12, several years passed, had a kid, and continued working as a hunter.

Tim

By the way, Hunter Exam arc was heavily censored. The arcs after this will be pretty much uncensored so it will be 18+ show.

Trevor Tilley

Gons dad passed the exam at 12 and became a hunter then later down the line he had a child

Romeo

Actually fun fact a human can run that and David goggins ran 205 miles in 36 hours non stop can’t remember for what but I think it was for his army brothers so it is possible like David goggins “says they don’t know me son who’s gonna Cary the boats”

Obi Wan Kenobi

Another fun fact, the author of this is married to the author of Sailor Moon! I’m sure Michielle knows that anime (probably another one of her child hood animes). That couple just fart out master pieces of manga/ anime as if it’s as normal as passing gas. I hope y’all do Yuyu Hakusho at some point too! Ron probably going to actually like it since it’s full of good fighting with a good story. Ps. Sailor moon is up there when we argue about anime power schaling. She’s probably top 5 in terms of powerful anime characters of all time. And she ain’t 5.

RorotheShadow

Yes, Gon's father was 12 years old when he took and passed the hunter exam. A few years passed after that, Gon was born, and then his father left Whale Island to work as a hunter. So, he wasn't 12 when Gon was born, guys! 😂😂 And that's why, I think, it's so impressive that Gon is taking the hunter exam at the same age as Ging (his father). Unfortunately, I can't tell you more because I would be giving you spoilers. But don't worry, you will learn a lot more about Gon's father. It will definitely be an adventurous and exciting journey! 🥳🥳🥳 Also, I'm always so amazed when Gon says he wants to be a hunter just to understand why his father left him. I mean, the fact that, at twelve years old, Gon has the maturity to rise above this negative feelings and to think that his father couldn't have left him because he didn't love him or something, is just damn impressive, I think. Most kids at his age wouldn't think like that! 💪🏻💪🏻

Obi Wan Kenobi

You’ve probably seen a few Sailor moon inspirations. Like when Puri puri prisoner first transformed with all the pink colorful lights.

Bertha Tillman

You guys are learning there’s a lot of information to take in from this show. It’s hard to remember everything, but you guys got it! I can’t wait til you guys find out more about each character.

Ablaise

World record for longest non stop run by a human is 350 miles in 80 hours

Joshua Lopez

Ging was, like, 19 when he had Gon. Somewhere around there.

Cameron Bartlett

In South Africa where I'm from there is an ultra-marathon called the Comrades marathon, it is 55 miles. Which coincidentally starts in about four hours time as I'm writing this.

Anonymous

Regarding Gon's father leaving the island: Took the exam at 12, passed, left to pursue his hunter career, later in life got a kid, returned to the island and gave him to Aunt Mito, left island again. just for clarification

kirk poss

Ging passed at 12 and had Gon when he was older then resumed being a hunter.

Yoona Kim

Hi Ron and Michelle could you guys do a double episode of hxh pretty please I really like the episode

Anonymous

Can you do double episodes like you did with Naruto

botanbutton

Yes, Ging was old enough to have Gon, lol. Trust us, he wasn't 12 when he did.

Mouson

To Ash, it only took him 1,217 episodes to become a world champion.

dannilo

This fact is a bit Sad, but the VA of Leorio died between 2020-2021 if i recall, he made other characters in game like Ardyn [FFXV] and Reno [FFVII remake], of course a bunch of other anime characters. Rip

Patrick Wotton

This is the first reaction I watched where the reactors initially assumed Ging had Gon at 12 lmfao like whaaat how do you get to that conclusion Yes Ging passed the exm and left the island at 12, but he didn't have Gon at 12.

Phyllis

The anime is a lot more tone down than the manga but I cannot say there will be no blood in this anime.

Abigail Jerry

Leorio is such a dope character

ChocoBoshi

I think you mean 14+? I don't think this show had a TV-MA rating when it was on TV XD

ChocoBoshi

Not sure what caused you to assume that the order was Ging (Gon's dad) having a son and then becoming a hunter but what Gon means when he says that his dad chose being a hunter over raising him was that he put the hunter career/life style first not that he had a son and later pursued being a hunter. For example, you could have a profession first then have children but decide to pursue the profession over raising the children.

Bertha Tillman

Do try to keep in mind guys that gon and Killua are 12. They’re still kids and sometimes they still act their age. They turned the first phase into a race to make it more fun.

ken_tka

i wouldn't be opposed to that but they are doing like 3 episodes a week so

ken_tka

here is a warning, HxH reaction watchers tend to be super elitist and get overly upset when you don't catch every single detail like they do on their 32nd rewatch of the show. try not to get disheartened by them, because they will be coming

Ahkenaton Furdge

I think they said they would when they were finished with another anime . (I think mob) I could be wrong though

SirCatelot

There will be some instances of censorship in the early episodes like sparkles replacing blood and stuff, but later on you will see blood

朱宇淵

The light and shadow of digital painting is really inferior to the works of hand-painted masters .The vibe … haha

2023-06-11 23:52:43 It's not explicitly stated, but the fact is that Ging (Gon's dad) DID take and pass the Hunter Exam (yes, on his first try) when he was 12 years old. He became a certified Hunter. Then you can assume Ging eventually had a kid with someone, returned to Whale Island to give baby Gon to his cousin (Gon's Aunt Mito), and THEN he left the island (thereby abandoning his son) to become/remain a Hunter instead of raising Gon.

In the first episode, the islanders mentioned Ging (Gon's dad) catching the Lord of the Lake when he was 12 years old, just like Gon did. They also said "it's been 20 years," so that means 20 years ago Ging was 12. Ging is currently in his 30s then, and he was AT LEAST 20 years old when he had Gon.

Kilika

Ging did actually pass the exam when he was 12, it's not confirmed but he most likely had a child with someone while on his hunter duties and whatnot and then dropped Gon off at the island and left.

Zenru Renari

No Ron is right. When Ging was 12 he became a Hunter n passed the exam. Clearly he didn’t have a kid at 12 but he DID become pass the exam and become a Hunter at 12. He obviously had Gon later on and probably just left him with his sister for her to watch over him. We just don’t know why or how or any of the line of events.

2023-06-12 04:23:48 Ging was 12 when he took & passed the hunter exam on his first try, it’s believed that he later had a kid (Gon) and came back to the island to drop him off then go back to his regular hunter duties/ ADVENTURE 😂

One thing I would like to suggest as you guys react to HxH is that sometimes there will be scenes with lots of info and explanation to absorb all at once, I highly recommend that you guys may want to pause take your time to read and continue or even go back a few seconds in case you missed the information. 9 out of 10 times they are answers that explain your questions as you watch the show.

Brooks

Mathematically, Ging is now 32 and Gon is 12. Ging had Gon when he was 20 then went back to the island to leave Gon to Mito's care. Right?

Michelle Lam

thanks Phyllis! Appreciate you as always! But if we did this, then what woould everyone on patreon be able to talk about, if we understood everything? hahah

Phyllis

Lol you mean getting grinded by patreons. 😂 You guys will probably forget some info so no sweat. Just a suggestion anyways since at a certain arc it is quite heavy on information with lots of words. I'm not sure how others would feel but I do not mind reactors pausing to read lengthy info and continue. Of course choose what you prefer so you can enjoy the show fully. It's only when you enjoy watching the show, then so will the audience. Thank you for the great reaction videos!👍🏻

Justin Moore

Wouldn't be opposed to a double upload of HxH sprinkled around for example if its a decent cliffhanger.

Bertha Tillman

Yeah I just started rewatching the show on my own apart from watching it with Ron and Michelle and I’m just now understanding things I didn’t the other 5 times I watched it lol

Griffith Augustine

Guys Ging is just “HIM” ofc he passed the hunter exam at the age of twelve 😂

Darby

Same - at the current pace, even at 3 episodes uploaded per week, it's gonna be almost an entire year until the series is completed.

Darby

All good <3 Deleting my other comments just to avoid any unnecessary drama on Ron and Michelle's channel.

Joise Cepeda

You know what also took over a year to finish?? MHA and it’s shorter so? 3 uploads is fine. (Mod)

Ntsuab Vwj

teeheee it will be explain later.. i know you prob thinking gons dad had him before 12 XD

Ntsuab Vwj

this is spoiler i would assume because this exact scene is explained in the anime :(

Joemar Villalon

I had such a good laugh with their "wait what???" moment hahaha yea I don't think Gin had Gon at 12 haha

Phoenix

It's not a spoiler because all this information has been mentioned in the episodes they've watched so far. And I did say "assume" for anything that wasn't explicitly stated in the anime up until now, but it's clearly implied. It will obviously be explained better in the anime later, but it doesn't change the fact that everything I commented has already been mentioned and so isn't a spoiler.

Phoenix

We can assume that, yeah, but when people say "20 years ago" or something similar, it doesn't always mean EXACTLY 20 years ago. So yeah, if it's clear cut we can say Ging was 12, 20 and 32; but I said 30s because at least that much is a fact, true and all, cause just in case he might be a bit older than 32.

Katsuo

Dean Karnazes completed the longest non-stop run by a human being in 2005. He ran 350 miles (560 km) non-stop. Forrest Gump ran 15,000 miles tho
