Hello Sushi Squad!!

We're doing a really quick poll as we will be filming AOT S3 Part 2 Ep 1 in about 30 min... Some of y'all have messaged/commented that we should we skip the opening because of spoilers. What do y'all think? Should we skip? And if so, when can we watch it?

You watched the Demon Slayer intros right? My Hero too? Those intros had just as much if not more spoilers than this one does but nobody was complaining about those. AOT fans are known for being spoiler obsessed. There is no way you get spoiled watching that intro once. But yeah lemme not get the majority upset

I think skipping is not a good choice. Because you are reacting channel. Please follow the essence.

Franklin

Just skip it. Y'all tend to pay close attention to details, which is good, but I think it's better to just let it play out without seeing the intro for now. After a certain episode though it doesn't matter anymore and you can watch it.

Skip the intro until ep 6 but please watch the entire outro next ep

AOT is HEAVY on the plot twists, surprises and big reveals in a way MHA or DS absolutely are not. Spoilers can ruin the experience of a story like that which is why people feel somewhat strongly about it. And you can’t tell me with a straight face they wouldn’t have been spoiled literally 1 second into the OP with an event that happens several episodes later lol. Add that to another 5 spoilers or so and it becomes unwatchable for people wanting to go in completely blind…

IT DOESNT IT HYPES THE SEASON UP!!! They can’t understand the scene they gave the exact amount of info for it to be more of a teaser

I'd say watch once before starting the season, you'll be oblivious to it and by the time you get there you're most likely forget everything.

Bob

It absolutely does. There are pretty clear images that give you enough clues to lessen the impact of scenes.

Bob

AOT is on a different level from those two shows. They don't have even a 10nth of the detail in plots or character development. Plus people can actually die in AOT. I stopped watching both of those shows after the villains never managed to kill anyone. The heroes always felt safe and no fight had any weight.

Kuponk

I can't vote but you definitly have to SKIP this one yes. My favorite but you got a lot of spoilers inside ^^

KevUrb

The fact that they made this poll already is reason enough to skip the OP. They have been told the opening is filled with spoilers so watching it will spoil stuff for them lmao.

mij suggestion is the following link has al 5 intros from the first 3 seasons but the full song without clips , you could make a seperate video rating the compleet 5 songs and thus hearing the new intro as last without the spoils and becomes addional content https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JuO0-GZk9A

I often feel like people are being overly dramatic when they warn of spoilers in anime openings, as most of the "spoilers" are only recognized by manga readers (context matters). That being said, this Attack on Titan opening is one of the few times I'd agree that you should skip an opening. Or, if you want, only watch it once so you don't have a chance to further analyze.

Kopa

To be honest, this opening is only a spoiler if you know that it is a spoiler. If you only watch it once, without context, and don't stop to analize, then its probably nothing to worry about.

Scott

I’m too late for the poll but seeing as you guys usually only watch a new opening once and then skip it for the rest of the season, it would’ve been fine to watch. It’s too fast to catch anything of significance on first viewing anyway. If you watched openings every episode, then it would be a different story because you might pick up on a few new things each time.
