honestly i say that you guys just watch the intro once and don’t watch it again. It was meant to be seen during the show and i don’t think it really matters all that much (my opinion.) Are there some tidbits of information that have bits of spoilers in it, absolutely. But i don’t think it will matter that much tbh

I agree with ya, the reason why he punched himself so suddenly (which I find weird still, like it's kinda unnecessary lmao) was that he wanted to get rid of his childish mindset and focus on fighting for what he thinks is right. That's why we see him being so motivated and full of pride after the scene and you can tell that by him saying "I hope that brat is dead"
