I really liked the first season of Tokyo Ghoul and the rest were fine too but I like the manga more. Also I would really like you to watch Haikyu since it doesn't have any magical powers and it's just a regular life anime.

Season 1 of TG is objectively one of the best in anime but season 2 and on is pretty divided on the fact it doesn’t follow the manga and deviates or jumps around on important events unless you’ve read the manga then watched the anime you can piece together what’s going. I would say give it a try and if you like it, go ahead with it.

I think Tokyo Ghoul is worth the watch so much as you don't read the manga, people who dislike the anime more often than not are comparing it directly to the manga which is done a lot better than the anime, but if you don't know what you're missing, it's very much worth the watch.

This is not the case at all. This would only apply if the only issue was that it didn't follow the manga. It isn't. The show cuts out massive chunks of information, character development, world building, motives, backstory, etc. To dismiss all criticisms as "they're just comparing it to the manga" is disingenuous and untrue.

I watched it without reading the manga first, i loved it ? Reading the manga afterwards was just a cherry on top. Don’t force your opinion on other ppl. You didn’t like it and that’s fine but trying to make it look bad so they don’t watch it is a douche thing to do. Let them decide if they like it or not. State your opinion and leave it at that but arguing about other ppl‘s opinions is just a dick thing to do.
