The faces you made when Tamura said quiet were amazing

I think most of the people who say that Tokyo Ghoul only gets worse, have read the manga. I personally have not read it and was kind of surprised to hear the bad reviews. But I think I do see what they mean now. I didn't really think of it while I was watching the series (probably too caught up in the escapism, rough times), but i guess it was pretty rushed. I think I enjoyed season 2 more than the first season because the story and characters felt more interesting (getting more invested in them). However, by the 3rd season, I was just really confused what was going on. I thought it was just my own lack of comprehension, but maybe it *was* just rushed after all. 🤔Yeah, that's probably what it is, cuz i remember feeling dissatisfied once it ended...

Some thoughts I want to share on Tokyo Ghoul: I think that it can be paralleled pretty well to Parasyte regarding Shinichi’s identity-related struggles! What I had done, and experienced a good time with, is watched the first two seasons, then read all of the manga from start to finish, and then watched the third season. @Ron&Michelle Considering reaction channel things, thinking about what would be most exciting for both you and your viewers, I recommend watching the first two seasons, reading the manga up to the “:re” part of the manga, and then watching the third season side-by-side with the “:re” part of the manga (e.g., watching one anime episode, then reading the corresponding manga chapters; and then repeat).

I had a similar experience to you. I never read the manga, but I actually watched all the seasons and really enjoyed seasons 1&2, and I really think they would as well. But beyond that I got confused and had to adjust to the art style change. I didn't absolutely hate the last couple of seasons, but I didn't really care for them either. But also, I think some people are being a bit dramatic. Where I stand is, let people watch things for themselves and form their own opinions on a show.

The way yall have casually started your last 3 parasyte intros with "shinichi" is underrated haha

"erased" is very realistic and my favorite anime after Naruto.... it has that non realistic aspect like parasite does, it has dark issues to resolve, well written, and not quite like any other anime...but it has very real human character emotions and actions that seem like a person would do in those situations...I don't want to spoil it but the main goals of the anime are real life issues that are in our "world" as well... very grown up and fuct up situations that easily get under peoples skin...is all i could say....there's no other anime that ever really dealt with stuff that sensitive and deep that i can think of....its so good....and i cant think of any reactors reacting to it.....you wouldn't be reacting to something other reactors are reacting to at the same time most likely.... I cant stress how good it is, and that you guys would like it....people who dont like anime would get hooked waching it..in my opinion....

Its horrible. Season 1 is good, but good because of the par the following seasons set. Imagine seasons 2 onwards were 2.5/10s so tokyo ghoul season 1 was a 4.5/10 so still pretty shocking. But when compared to the rest its actually quite decent. I have been fuming about this adaptation since i was 13. Im 23 now.

With Tokyo Ghoul S2 is not bad. It has a good ending so I recommend ONLY watching season 1&2. Yes the manga is better in every way I own a couple books of it but I mostly read manga through the app Shonen Jump.

Saith Uchiha

Interesting I’ll check it out I think I’ve heard of it but never watched

ivannbec

is so disappointing and obvious, erased has to be the most overrated show ever

Saith Uchiha

Yeah the manga is a lot better and darker. I can easily see why people would like season 2 more I think they should just watch S1 and S2. That’s my vote.

Saith Uchiha

I’d say a 4.5 is pretty low S1 has an amazing story with the main character. I give season 1 a 7-7.5 S2 a 6, s3 a solid 3 and season 4 a 2

You should watch Tokyo Ghoul or Erased next!

jesus i did not expect these replies about Tokyo Ghoul god damn

Was being pretty critical bc ive been hating on it for about 12 years now. But the amount thats cut out of the first season is still substantial. Average ep for tg should have 2-3 chapters MAX with the amount of dialogue in it. They did about 60-70 chapters in season one when on average season 1 should have had a MAX of maybe 30 chapters. Side plots cut out important dialogue. They ruined alot of kanekis transformation. The only good to come of that season was the OSt. Granted tho, i still do enjoy the season.

About Tokyo Ghoul: it is not because of the story, it is because of the anime adaptation. First season is amazing, second one is meh, and third one pretty much sucks.

Sparky Reynolds

you should watch Korra after avatar, I loved it... Its a must if you liked the original...

Saith Uchiha

The into is inane. I listen to re-created version once a week. Also glassy skies is amazing
