I just had time watching this now so my comment might be late. I don't know if someone already said it but I think the part about Zuko's mom has to be covered in a few more episodes but they stopped because they made a live action version which everyone knew it didn't go well. I think the Netflix series will cover that part, hopefully.

I'm fairly new here, but can we take a minute to appreciate the steel will of the fire nation soldiers that fought toph. No one has ever done metal bending, and she just tore it up with bending. It'd be like seeing an alien with crazy technology just blow down your door and say 'sup. They went in no questions asked. I think that's why they were winning pre avatar, numbers or no numbers.
