While doing the annual CNY cleaning, including laptop maintainence, I unearthed this unfinished comic.

I'd forgotten about it since it was meant for the last studio's artbook and I have some pretty big slabs of beef against them, kinda put it aside and it slipped my mind. I guess I have a lot more stuff hidden in dusty corners of my hard drive.

I wrote the entire silent comic based on one sketchede gag: a prim and proper little lady wielding a stonking huge sword.

The plot is simple:

Girl wants to bake a pie, a cupboard gnome offers normal apples but she insists it needs golden apples. She embarks on a journey through a neighbor's magical apartment to retrieve some. In the end, it's revealed the apples were just normal red ones painted gold.

The comic was designed with a location and premise set by the artbook committee, Need to find the original pencilling, I want to improve and redraw some panels to move away from said premise. The establishing shot definitely needs fixing.

Attached is a PNG compilation of the current version, before improvements and alteration.

PS: Just did a systems check, my HDD was last replaced in 2012. I've got another year before it poops out so it could die at any time. Photoshop and Flash runs hot, I'm going to try minimize my usage to extend my laptop until I can afford an upgrade (with new HDD, Win 7 and maxed out RAM, I'm still on XP)
