Escanor studies (Patreon)

Hi guys! This time I bring you some hyper muscle studies that were much needed. This character is Escanor from Seven Deadly Sins if you don't know him.

These all were drawn off screenshots from some episodes but since SDS has some weird proportions/muscles, it was perfect to apply my knowledge and make use of external references in order to draw it more to my style. I will make a separate post about it to show a little further.

If you've been following my work for some time, you may remember the second picture: evil Hendrickson that I did last year following the same methodology as I did with Escanor.

In my experience in drawing muscles, I've found that having a good sense and understanding of drawing very big muscles can be really helpful at the time where you need to draw athletic characters, less buffer or even average/lean (specially for shades placement) because it comes to just simplifying the big shapes into smaller ones. Personally that's helped me a lot and I've had very good results.

Also! For this month's fanart I decided to draw human buff Wilbur and Orville from Animal Crossing because it's still trending plus it will also serve me as a good practice for more buff stuff (and some eyecandy  hehe). Next month I can draw my ocs if you're still up for it. They ended up behind on two votes only.
