Only three games on Tuesday. Here we go!

Victor Wembanyama

18 PTS | 2-6 3PT | 8 REB | 1 AST | 4 BLK | 4-6 2PT | 28 MIN

🔸Wembanyama is filling up the stat sheet and the Spurs don’t even know how to use him yet. Sixth on this team in passes received (a pathetic 29.5 per game), averaging only 3.5 drives per game, and averaging only the fourth-most frontcourt touches on the Spurs - Wemby’s offensive role is being mismanaged. San Antonio will figure it out as the season moves along and that means the fantasy explosion is coming.

Evan Mobley

6 PTS | 0-0 3PT | 12 REB | 5 AST | 2 BLK | 3-9 2PT | 29 MIN

🔸Wildly disappointing to see Mobley have 16% usage with Garland, LeVert and Allen inactive. He’s attempted only one three pointer all season and has uncharacteristically struggled at the rim (55.6%). Some nice passing flashes in this one but I’m all but writing off the Year 3 offensive leap for Mobley.

Franz Wagner

14 PTS | 2-7 3PT | 8 REB | 3 AST | 1 BLK | 4-6 2PT | 32 MIN

🔸Franz has attempted 7+ threes in each of Orlando’s four games and is 83rd percentile in 3PT volume after reaching only the 50th percentile in 22-23. Wagner has also pushed up his offensive and defensive rebound rates to career-highs in the early going. Once the shots start falling, we are going to see some HUGE lines from Franz.

Paolo Banchero

15 PTS | 1-3 3PT | 4 REB | 4 AST | 4 STL | 4-10 2PT | 4-8 FT | 32 MIN

🔸Paolo’s struggles at the rim continued in this one - going 3 for 7 bringing him to an awful 47.8% on the season. Add in his continued struggles from midrange (30.8% on the season) and the free throw line (53.8%) and you can understand why the Magic are focusing on Franz as their primary scoring option. The assists and steals have been a positive so far and I’m not changing my long-term outlook much because his ability to draw fouls remains a huge indicator of star upside - it just might be a slow sophomore season.

Jeremy Sochan

8 PTS | 0-1 3PT | 7 REB | 5 AST | 3-7 2PT | 1-3 FT | 30 MIN

🔸Mixed results so far on the Point Sochan experience - the assists are solid but the playmaking quality is sub-par (a mere 8.3% assist to pass percentage). His shooting percentages are struggling along at the same percentages as last year at all levels and he’s actually creating less shots for himself than his rookie season. Becoming an NBA point guard takes time - so exercise patience here.

Immanuel Quickley

18 PTS | 3-6 3PT | 3 REB | 2 AST | 3-5 2PT | 3-3 FT | 24 MIN

🔸Quickley continues to cook in the midrange - 8-15 (60%) on the season after making a huge leap there last season (46.7% - 75th percentile). His 3PT volume also continues to rise - sitting at 9.5 attempts per 75 possessions (94th percentile). If Quickley ever gets to the rim and the free throw line consistently, he could become a star-level scorer.

Jalen Suggs

11 PTS | 1-5 3PT | 6 REB | 3 AST | 1 STL | 1 BLK | 4-5 2PT | 32 MIN

🔸Suggs is settling into a catch-and-shoot, off ball role on offense and seeing the corresponding decline in his assist numbers, but if he can produce defense stats at his usual rates and play these kinds of minutes, he’s going to be a solid fantasy option for years to come.

Anthony Black

0 PTS | 1 AST | 4 MIN

🔸Not in the rotation and doesn’t have much hope of getting into it without injuries. If this continues for a few more weeks, we should be ready to submit those buy-low offers because dynasty managers are famously impatient. I still like Black as a long-term starting guard because of his excellent feel, strong defensive ability and plus-sized playmaking.

Bones Hyland

17 PTS | 4-7 3PT | 3 AST | 1 STL | 2-7 2PT | 1-2 FT | 32 MIN

🔸The Harden acquisition hurts Bones’ short-term outlook but he remains a high upside, per-minute fantasy producer who appears to have won over Ty Lue enough to have played 20+ minutes a night in each game so far.

Malaki Branham

3 PTS | 1-4 3PT | 1 STL | 0-3 2PT | 9 MIN

🔸Branham is struggling to hit shots from all three levels right now and saw his minutes decline significantly here - getting a quick hook in the first quarter and then only returning for a few minutes in the third. There’s not much of a role available playing behind Devin Vassell right now, so it may take Tre Jones being reinserted as the starting PG for Branham to have a more consistent role.

Quentin Grimes

5 PTS | 1-3 3PT | 1 REB | 1 AST | 2 STL | 1-1 2PT | 22 MIN

🔸Grimes has registered 2 steals in each of his last two games - a very welcome development, but he’s yet to eclipse 26 minutes this season and middling minutes just won’t work with his thin fantasy stat set. Stock down here unless we see Grimes back in 32+ minutes a night.

Kobe Brown

7 PTS | 1-2 3PT | 3 REB | 1 AST | 1 BLK | 2-2 2PT | 19 MIN

🔸I loved Brown’s fantasy game coming out of Missouri and the departure of most of the Clippers’ power forward depth chart creates an opportunity for him to have a small rotation role - with bigger minutes on nights where Kawhi is out. Should be rostered in all dynasty leagues rostering 250+ players.

Emoni Bates

9 PTS | 2-5 3PT | 6 REB | 1 AST | 1 BLK | 23 MIN

🔸Bates was pushed into the rotation with the Cavs missing most of their backcourt options and had a solid outing. The 3PT volume continues to be elite and his two makes were a deep three above the break and a nice stepback to get separation in the corner. I was wrong on Emoni - he’s looking like a future rotation wing for the Cavs and I expect he’ll get a long-term deal by the end of this season.

Charles Bassey

2 PTS | 3 REB | 1 AST | 1 BLK | 1-2 2PT | 15 MIN

🔸Bassey is playing as a straight backup to Zach Collins - but given Collins’ injury history, he’s a name that every fantasy manager should have on their watch list. An elite rebounder with massive shot blocking potential - Bassey should be stashed for his per-minute upside.

Craig Porter Jr.

10 PTS | 0-1 3PT | 4 REB | 2 AST | 2 STL | 1 BLK | 5-11 2PT | 22 MIN

🔸I fell in love with Porter Jr.’s fantasy game when running projections for my rookie rankings earlier this year and that stat set is apparently going to translate very nicely to the NBA. Porter Jr. is on a two-way contract and unlikely to play meaningful minutes for the Cavs this year - but he’s exactly the kind of high upside stash that managers in deep formats should be acquiring.

Julian Champagnie

0 PTS | 0-1 3PT | 3 MIN

🔸Champagnie barely appeared in this game and hasn’t been in the rotation, but let’s all remember how he dominated Summer League, averaging 20 PTS, 3.2 3PT, 7 REB, and 3.4 AST. Champagnie showed a strong fantasy stat set in college, is only 22 years old, and his ideal wing frame (6-7, 217 lbs) should get him a real opportunity in the Spurs’ rotation later this year. He remains a strong stash candidate.

Love the content, question. Would u trade claxton and cam Johnson for Jalen williams, sochan and reaves ? (12t points)

NBADynastyADP

Yes - that’s not a balanced trade. Huge win for the side getting Williams, Sochan and Reaves.
