Good afternoon,

Another week is coming to an end and so it's time to give you an overview of my progress with the last steps of the 0.5.6.0 update.

During the week I have made progress in several areas of the update. As announced, I have increased the number of treasure maps from 12 to 30. I also added additional checks that prevent the game from selecting maps in areas that you don't have access to (e.g. if you haven't played Gwen's story yet, you won't be send to the swamp to search there).

For the main story I have been working on more character models for enemies and also on a new map, but the work on the map is not finished yet. I've also put some thoughts into the combat system in general and thought about ways to improve it, but that will come in the rework update next month. Right now I only made some tests about which plugins could be implemented without breaking existing saves. For the treasure hunt I have thought about other treasures that the player can find (armor, trinkets, weapons), these will be found with a certain chance then in the chests.

Then of course the most time consuming part was the relationship dialogue with Melissa and the dinner in the smithy. I'm still in the middle of working on that especially on the 2 scenes with Melissa that follow after that. For the content with the thugs: I've added the followup scenes with them and also dialogue to that. So this is now already completed.

So now what is left to do and when is the update complete?
Definitly not today. I've already told you last week that because of the unpleasant events back then and my work on additional animations it was unlikely to finish the update this week.
I have a clear goal about how far I want to get with the story in general to have a good endpoint for this update. The scenes with Melissa do need some finishing work (+ alternative dialogue in case of corruption), the storyquest needs 2-3 additional queststeps that lead to the new map and of course the enemies need to be added and balanced (There won't be a lose scene for them at the moment). And then of course a final conclusion for the quest and a decision that the player can make. After all is done I'll have to do tests and fix the bugs that will be in there. This is what needs to be done before the update is complete.

Right now I think that it should be possible to get this done in the coming week, but I can't say how many days exactly I will need. I'll keep you updated on discord in the coming week when I get closer to a finished state.

For the plans after this update:
The next thing after this update is the Liandra/Yasmine bonus scene, which will also enable the transformation route for Liandra at camp.
After that we finally get to the rework update, I have a lot on my to do list for that, but this is something I will list in detail after I'm done with the bonus scene.

I have a question how much time do you think it take to complete rework update? Don't get me wrong, I didn't ask you to pressure you up. I know you are hard working dev but after monastery update I think with the rework content that you gonna rework which is ALOT more than monastery. which I concern it gonna take like 8 month to complete it.

I'm currently planning to take 2 months for it but not longer. I'll focus on the most important things first and then there are some nice to have things that I will add should the time allow it. In the past I've taken only one month for rework updates, which was indeed a little short.
