Making the smithy more hospitable (Patreon)

Good afternoon,

It's again time for another weekly report, so time to summarize what I have achieved over the week.

This week the main focus was on new animations for Melissa with the MC.
The animations of the last update stopped right where it actually starts to get interesting. At this point I have started and made a few animations which should continue the plot. So this took most of the time this week and I'm still in the middle of editing these images + making background renders for them. I hope by the end of today I can get them all done, after all I will probably need to make more transition images next week.

In the process, I also worked on the preparations for a conversation with John at the dinner table. For this I reworked the 3d environment of the living room a bit, as you can see in the cover picture. I also reworked John's character model and made new sprites and dialog images for him. He is no longer standing rigidly in the smithy but is busy forging.

Then I've been working on the treasure system again. As said in my last report I've now changed the way treasure maps are selected. They are now all gone through and only after each map has been active 1 time is the pile of maps reshuffled and processed in a different random order. I will also add an option to skip a map (In case you just can't find a certain location).

So much for what happened this week. Now it's time to talk about the plans for the next one. Next week I will continue writing the actual plot. for that I will probably have to create new maps. I don't want to anticipate the story, so no more spoilers here. But it should be a little more than just digging up a few chests and finish at the end.
If there is still time, I will also continue to write the relationship between Melissa and the MC for which I finally made all the pictures this week. As already announced, this should be optional.

I think currently I'm quite well on schedule, whether that holds the next week will show. I hope in any case that I can then better estimate whether I can keep the release date end of the month.
