Paul Revere Things: -Big in New England (the region that Vermont is in and where he grew up) history/lore/culture -An inner circle American revolutionary (founding fathers - signed the declaration of Independence) -was essentially on lookout for the British and then was responsible for informing everyone from riding from town to let the revolutionaries know to get ready -an poem was written about the epic ride and it popularized the association of "one if by land two if by sea" and Paul Revere -the poem is referenced in the Nicolas Cage classic National Treasure when he is dealing with the bad guys -live free or die is the New Hampshire license plate and since those are neighboring states and quite small seeing one of those could mean he is getting close to home depending on where he is coming from

No Complaints to me as a whole is really kind of an ode to healing and getting on anti depresents. Things are better but you also feel very numb and a bit stuck. But it's better right? So why are you complaining? I love that y'all are seeing a more positive message in it. As someone on anti depresents I think: "forgot how to cry" is a nod to how they kinda like you feel numb but it's better than where you were before you started meds. "who am I to complain" for me is very - shit was so fucked, I was in such a dark place, I have already bothered people enough and been a burden, I am better so who am I to complain about these side effects. Very "it's what I deserve for failing and being mentally ill". Okay sorry that got a bit to real. But I think you know what I mean??? Northern Attitude, Growing Sideways, and No Complaints girlies are 10000% the same girlies
