A Huntress of the M'murr'shi clan prepares to enter the tall grass of the Ki'ru Plain in hunt of a giant du'ka serpent. Like all clan huntresses, she has been painted with markings that are specific to the exotic and dangerous quarry she has been tasked by her clan's matriarch to hunt. Each success means a new feather in her headdress and increased status within the clan.

This huntress is pained with blur and purple serpentine diamonds that mimic the pattern on a du'ka serpent's back. She has equipped herself with a single weapon, a spear with a steel tip acquired in trade with foreign visitors. In her pouch she carries dried meat rations and several potent potions. These latter items induce the production of pheromones which du'ka serpents find particularly enticing.

With a bit of skill and a heap of luck, the huntress will take her prize and earn her feather. If her prize takes her, on the other hand, she'll be rendered helpless by the serpent's potent breath and then quite promptly swallowed alive and whole. While that might mean the end of her, should another huntress on the same task slay the 'fey'li eating' serpent, she will earn two feathers instead of one.
