I have looked but maybe I am just crazy but is there anyway possible to adapt this to the ender 3 s1 pro sprite extruder

Andrew Soderberg

I am sorry but integrated extruder/hotends including the Creality Sprite on the Ender S1 Pro (along with the Micro Swiss NG, Titan Aero, BIQU H2, E3D Hemera, and the Bondtech LGX Shortcut), are not compatible with the current Hero Me design architecture (including Gen7). They are all too large, too wide, to fit into a Hero Me Base. The Hero Me was designed before these integrated extruder/hotend combos were developed. To make a Hero Me fit these assemblies it would no longer be a Hero Me as it would not be compatible with any of the hundreds of parts from both my Master Suite and the over 700 remixes and add-ons created by the community. Now, it you were planing to replace the Sprite S1 extruder with any of the popular 3rd party hotends and extruders, then that's a different story. On a more positive note, I have partnered with another 3D designer/ mechanical engineer to develop Hero Me based part cooling ducts with ABL mounts for the Creality Sprite and the others listed above. We hope to have them available in the near future.

Hey Andy, any plans for a SOVOL SV06(plus) mount? I did the first print yesterday and it has this really unique swappable hotend system. Did you see that already? I can beta test if you like. Will get a replacement hotend kit in that case to have both options for comparison.

Andrew Soderberg

Hi Daniel, I can do a Gantry Adapter if we can find a STEP or STL of the X carriage. Otherwise I will need calipered measurements of the dimensions and all the mount points (center to center and center to two sides).

Hi Andy, hope all is well. Do you have any plans on making hotend mount for vzbot goliath air?

Hi Andy, thank you for your incredible work! My question, where can I find the STEPs? Because I have a Geeetech A30T and I wanted to do the assembly in my software and see if a combination of parts was adaptable. Thanks

Hi Andy, thanks for all of your hard work on this. I'm upgrading from Gen6 to Gen7 and see the following in the documentation: If you have any Ender 5 series and are using any of the ABL sensor mounts.... The spacer file is: Ender_5_ABL_Spacer.stl and is found in the ABL Mounts/Other ABL Sensors/ folder. I don't see any folders inside of the ABL Mounts folder for Gen7, but it is in my Gen6 files. Is this still necessary? Thanks!

Andrew Soderberg

Thanks for pointing this out. Somehow that file slipped out of the folder. :/ Here is a DropBox link to the STL: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ace5r54yuq9jfz/Ender_5_ABL_Spacer.stl?dl=0 I will as that file back into the mix and update the doc with its new location (folder structure changed between Gen6 and Gen7).Note that this spacer is only needed if you can't otherwise clear the metal clip that holds the belt on the left side.

Hello, I just had a question, I had completed and installed my HMG7 about a month ago and I already have an issue, the hotend mount has already warped? I found my hotend pushed back. I was wondering if I maybe just had a fluke, or if this has happened to anyone else, I printed this out of PLA+ and did 45% infill. I printed a new one at 55% infill but I wonder if I will get the same issue

The stock ender5/3 cr10 hotend mount I believe. I don’t have the ability to print in PETG or any of those filaments unfortunately….

Is the following Creality direct drive kit supported? Creality Official Ender 3 Direct Drive Upgrade Kit, Comes with 42-40 Stepper Motor Hotend Kit, 1.75mm Direct Drive Extruder Fan and Cables Support Flexible TPU Filament https://a.co/d/dBrEwF0

Andrew Soderberg

Yes, but... The Direct drive does not mount to the X carriage as shown in the Amazon page. It sits on its own Hero Me mount directly above the hotend mount on the Hero Me Base. It is one of these two Creality extruder STLs. HMG7 Creality Dual Gear Front Mount.stl HMG7 Creality Single Gear Front Mount.stl I can't tell you which because the details of the Amazon listing does not mention whether it is single or dual gear.

Andrew Soderberg

Ok, that is one of the oldest Gen7 hotend mounts. I have beefed it up quite a bit today. Here is a DropBox link to the revised hotend mount for the stock Ender 3/5/CR-10: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4p9if11c7bpqr3l/HMG7%20Creality%20OEM-CR10S-Ender3-5%20Mount%20V2.stl?dl=0

I'm still in the process of putting the HMG7 on my Ender 3 but was disappointed to realise that the picture on page 27 of the documentation is misleading since it implies the hotend can be mounted and slotted into the base. In practice, this position is impossible due to the cables for the thermistor and heater. It would only be possible to assemble it this was if they were removed from the heater blocks and reassembled!

Hello, I'd like to report 2 collisions: 1 specific to the Ender 3 Neo, (not v2), using the "HMG7.3 Ender 3 Neo Gantry Adapter", the leftmost arm when looking from front, hit the housing of the X-axis end switch. adding a small chamfer with a file manually fixed it. 1 specific to the "HMG7 Creality Dual Gear Front Mount", the left lower corner of the mount interferes with the left 5015 fan's screw mount. Also, mounting the extruder plate to that mount is so fiddly and painful, but i'm not sure what much could be done in that area due to all the space constraints around it.

Andrew Soderberg

Thanks for the feedback, I have updated the two STLs. Here is a DropBox link to the revised files: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ivanjrsflzdd6dy/Creality-Gantry-Extruder.zip?dl=0 Please take a look at the Gantry Adapter and tell me if the chamfer I added solves the issue.
