Hey all, new game: Lairchitect!

It's a reverse dungeon crawler where you build your own lair. Protect your precious soul core from heroes that will try to take you and your dungeon down!

Spawn minions on different types of biomes to get different types of minions. Knowing which to use when and where along with effectively placing contraptions such as locked doors, traps and treasure will be key in winning the game!
It is a bit smaller than what i originally envisioned, but I think it still became a fun lil' game in the end.

Really struggling to learn this one. What is happening when I tap on a skeletal minion? I see a circle change from red to green, is that good? How do I build walls or traps? I haven't beat any adventurers yet, but I've managed to collect a ton of gold and rubble. Maybe I'm supposed to be building a wall or something like that.

While it is very cute and the foundations of a good game are there, it seems a bit incomplete for me. Aside from crashes on every game I don't really understand what to do. The rats kill the first few enemys, while the skeletons mine things, one time I even got a big minion, but the level 4 Knight just kills everyone and the game is over. Any tipps? What to do with all the mined ressources?

I think you can't actually build anything in level 1, level 2 opens up that space below the minions with a bunch of things you can build. One of the things I missed in gameplay (but caught from the description here) is spawning your minions on different tile types creates different minions. This even includes things like spawning a medium minion on the bones of another minion creates a stronger skeleton! For level one it wasn't worth trying to upgrade to big minions. I was able to get through by just spamming (small for the first couple waves, but then all medium) minions right behind and in front of the dudes I want to kill. Borrowed some health from my crystal when I was low after upgrading to medium.

i think there was a bug in v1.0.1 that resetted the stats of the stronger units. uploading a fix today!

Got the following crash on macOS in version 1.0.2 when putting a small minion on a water tile: FATAL ERROR in action number 1 of Alarm Event for alarm 5 for object oUnit: Push :: Execution Error - Variable Index [0, -4] out of range [1,5] - 100004.voiceSounds(100191,-4) at gml_Object_oUnit_Alarm_5

are you 100% sure you were using v1.0.2? i double checked it here and it shouldn't be possible to get that crash in that version

And I am still getting freezes on v1.0.2 with no error message. Happens every time a couple minutes into the game, and it is in both campaign and endless

Yeah i noticed it too. It’s only on mac so it’s hard for me to find out what the problem is

Still struggling to defeat a single warrior. I've sent 20 rats after them, I've used all my resources on plant minions and blobs, I've upgraded my tower and used as many level two minions as I could afford, but the outcome is still the same. I feel like there is something I'm fundamentally missing on how to play this. It looks amazing and the soundtrack is great. I'm also having a crash pretty much anytime I do something with a lower level plant minion. Sometimes it happens when I click on them after they've hatched, sometimes it happens when they do their first encounter, but pretty much anything to do with a level 1 plant minion will crash my mac for some reason.

i just noticed that there was an issue on the mac version where the minions would miss too often. I uploaded a new mac version (v1.0.2b) that fixes that issue. I think it will make a big difference. I haven't figured out yet why the mac version freezes sometimes tho :(
