Hi all, Esper Quinn here. Normally when we make Bonus Credit episodes, it’s the panel talking about movies or funny anecdotes from life. That’s fun, and we hope you enjoy that. But this episode is for the true sickos who want a few dozen Playstation 1 RPG recommendations from Tim Rogers to Brandon Sheffield, including a game “you can talk about and nobody else will have played it.” Enjoy!

just last night i was watching Tim's playthrough of the first part of Alundra 2 where he talks about not actually liking it but that the next time it comes up on this podcast that he'll pretend like he does. very funny to get the pay off for that so quickly.

I am relieved to know that Insert Credit are the one place on the Internet who are pro-Dragon Quest VII. There is no such thing as too much Dragon Quest content in a game.

i wonder how much of that anti-sprite/3d supremacy sentiment from the PS1 era is down to the UK being so prominent in the 90s game magazine world, plus the fact that japanese RPGs rarely came out in PAL regions?

It was a real thing in the US as well - not as hardcore as in the UK but it was definitely here. We're all to blame!!!

First time commenting (HI GUYS I LOVE YOU): I just have to address the fact that I've kept coming back to the first minute of this episode so many times for almost two months now. There's something about the multilayered symphonic nature of this segment: Brandon's disregard for the person-he's-talking-about's name, Tim's use of the (in my head) Symphony-Of-The-Night-"WHAT?", Brandon's explanation of the person, Frank's immediate answer, Tim's reaction to hearing the name, Tim's deftly and quickly put together Heebie-Jeebies joke, Frank asserting his need for points from getting the name right, and then Brandon's actual intended joke. And this is BONUS CONTENT?
