What I Did Today: March 1, 2018 (Patreon)

Finished battery testing the Tattu and Adrenaline, except I still need to import Evan's data into the software and run that test series. Expect to publish results next week.

Received the 'Merica quads today for the 4S/high kv vs 6S/low kv testing. Unfortunately, Evan is going to an event this weekend and I will be at Kwad Camp next weekend, so I might not get to actually test them for a few weeks.

One of my Patrons graciously offered to loan me his LaForge v4 for my receiver shootout. I should receive it on Monday so I am putting off that testing until next week. I hope to do some flying with the Clearview module tomorrow since the weather is supposed to be good.

Coordinated with a helpful person on Facebook to build a complete set of Betaflight hex files so that everybody with an RDQ Mach2 vTX could download a hex file. These hex files will be based on the final release of BF 3.3 (when it happens). Right now, only certain board targets are available, which sort of confuses me, because it's not like it's hard to build every single hex file, but hey what do I know?

Official release of BF 3.3 is looking like March 2 or 3.  

Shot, edited, and uploaded a video about how to tune the new BF 3.3 stage-2 filter. This is one of the hardest videos to make because good guidelines for tuning the new filters are not universally agreed-upon. So I had to interview a bunch of devs and a bunch of test pilots and sort of sift through everything they said and try to distill it down into a simple set of guidelines that could apply to everyone. The video will go live not the 2nd but maybe the 3rd as I expect BF to release and it to be a very hot topic.

Performed the giveaway drawing for the Newbeedrone Acrobee and the Drone Drop boxes. Haven't shot or uploaded the video yet. I always wait until as late in the day as possible to actually perform the drawing so last-minute people can get in.
