Good evening everybody. Hope you're all doing well this week.

Over the course of two weeks I've been able to cut together a Divinity bullshittery. And have also perform some quality assurance (mostly audio) to bring it into a watchable state. I've intentionally skip the middle part, for the moment. It has no text and animations. Yet at least.

For those not following previous posts - this is because of a lack of confidence in the editing style of the prior Divinities. I feel I strayed too far from the comedy and too deeply into the narrative. Depriving them of the necessary comedic energy.

Therefore what I've tried to do is course correct back to assorted gags, maintaining critical narrative only. Things that concern the main plot and absolutely need to be setup. With only minor attention paid to side quests unless they have something specifically funny.

++EXTREME SPOILERS AHEAD+++

What I'd like to do now is present that draft cut to you. This is the bullshittery video in its near final configuration. Just before I export each clip into Adobe After Effects top add captions. I invite you to watch it and tell me your thoughts. I'm looking for feedback.

Divinity Bullshittery part 4 draft - https://youtu.be/IieVYaeiuGw

The question I have is: Do you think this edit is worthy of the channel?

It'll be about 26 minutes long and Divinity is unusually difficult to keyframe, with a relatively large amount of manual tracking (automation struggles out of NPC conversations).  That's at least 26 days of fairly intensive keyframing.

It would be a real bummer to complete that, polish it, deliver it, only to discover that the underlying cut was a bit meh in the first place. That time could have been better spent delivering something else. Hence why I'm asking for eyeballs and thoughts now.

I personally think it's pretty good. The 2 weeks of pre-production helping to return my confidence in the available highlights. But additional feedback would be more than appreciated.

I could do a simple poll. But I feel that's a little too binary. Instead I invite you to place your comments insofar as whether you think I should continue with it. Be it here, beneath the video, Patreon's messaging system. Or you're welcome to email me at sovietwomble@gmail.com. Whilst I can't respond to all emails, I promise that I do read all of them.

Should I decide to continue, then the process of keyframing it should be relatively straight forward. By frontloading the primary and secondary cutting it would be a case of working on X number of clips per day. With a final deliverable at some point in early January. I should even be able to provide fairly accurate estimates. Since I know precisely how many scenes there are.

Since I haven't played the game, I have difficulties see who is where even while they are on screen, especially the deflection scenes. Maybe a small indicator over the "friendly" characters would be an idea I want to make

Hi Womble, I also vote yes; please continue. First because I like how you manage that you choose one Bullshitery and the next chosen by the community helping to keep you a normal mental state ... well, a relatively "normal" :) while you still follow the wish of your community ... and second because I really enjoyed the previous Divinitys and I would like to watch them someday as a whole story, from beginning to the end. (bc iirc the ending was pretty fun. You four had a fantastic chemistry during the whole game) I understand of course if you experienced some negative feedback / drops in the Patreon / Twitch support which made you wonder if you should change something in the short/long run but I hope that's not the case and I hope to be able to choose your own project to work on, it helps you keep your passion for editing which could bring us fun. If there's no issue from the community backing then please consider that you always share the state of the current project (both on streams and Patreon/Discord), you give us frequent feedback about the struggling and also the good parts; you give us the information so we can decide if we would like to send you some money to continue your work or not. tldr; fuck everything and please continue the Divinity BS :) PS: imho we gave you negative feedback about the Rocket League Bullshitery because it was out of your regular comic formula. I enjoyed when I read about during one of your update how you played with greenscreen effects and other tricks but at the end it was more like 10 mins people yelling with each other while the original streams were fucking hilarious. I remember I woke up on those weekends, turned on the streams and just watching and laughing in bed. The end results was still funny to me but partially because I remembered that you had some fun during making that video. I believe your strongest part is your chemistry with your friends, it's feels effortless yet funny while bringing the best from each other.
