Random Rising Storm: Vietnam Bullshittery - Update #1 (Patreon)

Good evening folks. Thank you for taking part in the poll from the end of last week. 

So it appears that Rising Storm: Vietnam is the winner, though not by a gigantic margin. There's a fair old split between the other choices. I'll probably do what I did before and pick the next project is something from further down the same list. So other things can be edited that wouldn't really otherwise. Certainly some good highlights in some lesser known titles.

For now though, editing has already started on Random Rising Storm Vietnam Bullshittery (part 2). And it's editing day 3 of a scheduled 20.

In the previous video editing effort, from last year, I spent quite a bit of initial time "nesting" the massive amount of footage recorded. In such a way that pays dividends now. As I have a wealth of well categorised highlights to choose from. There's some additional highlights to nest of course, but they're not a huge priority.

But right now, ten minutes worth of clips have already been selected. And the order looks pretty good. Alternating between multiple short clips, followed by longer gags to keep the rhythm. The general order probably isn't final, but I can work with it.

The keyframing of text and animations has already started. Doing whatever simple things can be done in Adobe Premiere, before exporting it all to After Effects for the fancy stuff. A process that typically takes about a day per minute of footage.

Amusingly, I see a possibly opportunity to use some of the cartoon animating skills I've picked up. Some bits of banter that could be heightened by the presence of G.I. and VC characters at the bottom of the screen (like Quebec screaming "grenade" in the prior episode). I'll look into it. Many possibilities at this stage.

I'll keep you posted as to how it goes. And have the video editing as soon as I can.
