Good afternoon dear Patrons. I hope you're all well and have had a spiffing Christmas and New Year period. And welcome indeed to 2020. Let's hope it's a good one.

On this end, after completing Random Space Engineers Bullshittery (part 3) I was able to take a few days off and got some good rest in. I'm feeling thoroughly refreshed and ready to roll.

So on the first project of the year, I figured it would be prudent to return to the Arma 3 Antistasi series, with the goal of completing part 4 of 5. The highlights collected during August play session. It's probably a good idea to get that series complete as soon as I'm able.

For those not familiar, Antistasi is an Arma mod in which ZF play as a resistance group using small-arms to try and resist a very large and organised conventional army. In this case, the US army. And much of the thrill surrounding the gameplay concerns the disproportionate strength you often have to face. And the fact that the players are back to basics. With none of the toys such as tanks and aircraft.

At the start of the project I was able to sit down and spend a couple of weeks planning out the scenes for the entire project. Meaning that structurally I'm more or less ready to go. I can jump straight into the text and animations. Though some of the cutting is rushed by necessity and needs to be improved.

For some reason, this particular episode sees a rather large amount of Nevil. I'm guessing because he was quite active around Kavala during those streams. And the recurring gag about owing him money from the previous episode is present. The only current question mark in the cutting is whether I'm going to include the scenes showing the "retribution attacks" that are possible in the game mode. Which involve various villages being napalmed if you fail to protect them.

It's a question of whether or not the tone from comedic to serious is too jarring in practice. And it's a question I'll need to figure out soon because part 5 has similar scenes. I shall experiment and see how it looks.

So then, work begins on Random Antistasi Bullshittery (part 4) and everything looks good so far. Thank you for your generous support this past year. And I'll try to get this video to you as soon as I can.

All the best.
