Random Space Engineers Bullshittery - Update #3 (Patreon)

Greetings and salutations from the editing trenches, my dear patrons.

Alas, I always feel like a bit of a duffer when it comes to updates. Because there's only so many different ways you can say "editing continues". But nevertheless, editing continues on Random Space Engineers bullshittery (part 3) as it enters the 4th (and hopefully final) week.

The video is very much cut end-to-end and exists in a complete state now. Albeit one that's a bit rough around the edges and awaiting quality assurance corrections. And I'm currently continuing to pull individual scenes into Adobe After Effects for all the necessary text effects and animations to give that bullshittery gloss.

In terms of where keyframing is, it sits at the start of the 8th minute out of 10.

Meaning that I'm hoping to enter the QA phase before the end of this week. Whether or not that'll be enough time before the weekend remains to be seen. It does seem quite tight. I may need to continue polishing into next week.

Here's a quick overview for the timeline for those interested.

So in addition to the clips highlighted, there's a "3" sequence "parked for now". The 3 marker indicates a more complicated sequence, usually a series of highlights that belong together as part of a longer gag. For example, the "Cyanide's psycho girlfriend" sequence is a good example of a "3" gag. Much more complex from an editing standpoint than a simple one-liner. Probably involving extra assets.

I'd initially included it in the edit, but I worry about bloating the video too much. It's one of the dogfights between the custom-made fighter craft we were building. And I may focus on it after the rest is complete and presented to you? Inserting it before the public release as an extra scene? Let me play with it for a bit and get back to you. Estimate how long it might take and gauge your opinion at the end of the week.

So currently everything is looking fine. No major blockers and I'm soon to enter the polishing phase.
